I know this social lesson is a good thing, but I'm one of those that says the heck with it. I have tried to get a part time job for some time using appropriate interview skills, but no luck. I've decided to be myself. I've just landed a part time job while being myself. I start work this Friday night. The pay is great.

I found that video very amusing; it was like one of those creepy fiction programs where everyone is super happy all the time and it turns out their brains have been rewired by evil aliens. There were a couple of spots that didn't make a lot of sense though; the girl on the bus brushing her hair, why was that considered "bad manners"? She wasn't bothering anyone. Also, in the classroom when Jack was "paying attention" to his teacher, his expression looked more like he was attracted to her! And do you always have to make social niceties with people on the street or new kids in class? What if you don't have the social energy for it? All I can say is I'm glad I wasn't around in the fifties!

It's always considered bad manners to do personal grooming in public. Flossing, clipping your fingernails, putting on makeup, etc. are supposed to be done at home before you go out.
