I know a similar post was made about six months ago but it didn't seem to get any replies. Was interested if anyone had recent experience. I think this is where I will be going for my diagnosis.

Thanks

I think this is really specific a question, as the majority of members here are American.

However, I do know one member who lives in your area, although he didn't get his DX there he may have some knowledge of them. I will PM him to draw your thread to his attention, but obviously I can't guarantee a response and if he doesn't know that centre he may feel 'nil returns' unwarranted.

Hi,

Just got nudged by WhirlingMind.

I live in Southampton and got my diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome at the diagnostic centre in Winchester in 2011. I originally thought I would get diagnosed at the ADRC in Southampton but that's an expensive route.

For "simpler" cases, the route is Baseline Psychiatric Assessment, then unless that shows some complex disorder like schizophrenia or bipolar, the referral is then to Winchester.

Do feel free to PM me for a chat, but I'm just going out, back later.

Barnabear.
