I know nobody likes being or feeling rejected but is it a particular problem with Aspies my daughter and I both respond badly to rejection - her mood shifts dramatically and she has thrown herself at floors and doors sometimes. I just do the dramatic moods shifts but have felt like harming myself in the past.

I don't think anyone responds particularly well to rejection, not sure if people with AS find it more difficult or not. I think as a rule people with autism might experience it more thus making it harder to deal with. I don't really react too well to it, in fact I still feel damaged from all the rejection I received growing up. I also sometimes feel isolated even if I am around people I'm close to.

A lot of people don't seem to get how one can feel lonely or isolated around people.
