Trouble with School
I wanted to know about what other asd people have gone through in school. I don't mean with other students but with the teachers, principals, etc. In my experiences, students have been way better than teachers. I've always had "friends" and never had problems with bullying from other students, except for the rare occasion where I would yell at them and they'd usually back off and one time i punched someone. I would even go into this one class every day to socialize during my spare. However, the teachers can be absolutely infuriating. I am going into grade 12 this year and from grades 9-11 I have been kicked out of 7 classes permenantly because the teachers are incapable. In elementary school I was: assaulted by teachers, sabatoged by a teacher who wanted me out of her class, told by a vice principal the school is for normal kids, told "shut up" is a swear, yelled at by an EA for making a joke about a lockdown that happened because of an unattended briefcase despite the teacher in the class trying not to laugh and another teacher outright making a joke to me about the briefcase the next day. One school edited the minutes of meetings to suit them and denied that I had ASD. A couple years back, my family filed a human rights complaint and mediated, we got some money and they started treated me better, however, they can still be outrageous! I was recently suspended for "hitting the principal on the head" when I merely pushed him away from me after he touched me when he came into my space. Their story of the events didn't even make sense. They forget that I yelled at him "don't touch me you f------ b------" when I pushed him away despite students all over the school having heard. Although they grant the suspension appeal, it doesn't help that much. My family is preparing to file another complaint as a result once I finish high school. Basically, I wanted to hear what you've gone through.
I was lucky. My vice principal stood up for me when I was bullied by classmates, and the guidance counsellor was very helpful too. They treated me with respect too. I had pretty decent grades. When kids bullied me and I responded not so diplomatically. The vice principal looked the other way and would tell the bullies they brought it upon themselves. There were some mean teachers, but they couldn't do much to cause me too much grief since they would hear from the vice principal about it if they did. I got along great with most teachers. College was awesome....the instructors LOVED me and ADMIRED my quirkiness.

I got along very well with the majority of my teachers in school. They all seemed to appreciate my talent and intelligence. I actually dated my high school principal's daughter for a while, and he always treated me well. The one time I got into a fight in high school, he made a point to simply laugh about it and say I had done nothing wrong. Both of the guys I got into a row with were pretty widely known to be colossal douches anyway that only got away with half the crap they did because their families were at the core of the local crazy megachurch.
