this is awful news

I'm flying back to UK this afternoon, fortunately into Manchester

the head office of my organisation is about a quarter mile from Aldgate east tube station, that's the one I always use when I go there

crazy thing is it's right near the East London mosque as well, they will certainly have killed muslims; also Edgware Road is a very arabic area.

scary stuff

With the amount of bombs that went off its fortunate that more people were not killed.

It's one thing to bomb what many feel is an international symbol of monetary greed but public transport?

Like i've said before about revenge and violence, it simply breeds a viscuos cycle of hate that consumes everything in it's path. I was driving back from taking my sister to the airport this morning about a 1/2 hour after it happened. I just flung my hat off and started thinking.
This is very sad. It scares me to think that there's people out there in the world who kill in the name of god. They are evil and they will have their day to be judged.

I was in London at the time. Normally I would have been on the Edgware Tube at that time too but circumstances mean't I was in a different hotel. I would have either been on, before or after the tube that got bombed. Frightening.

I didn't have a hotel booked or anything for tonight but managed to make alternative arrangements and got out of London. (all the hotels were fully booked and my train tickets were worthless).

This has its roots in history. All the way back to the Middle Ages.

Western Imperialists have attack advanced Islamic civilisations for centuries. Of course they will turn against their oppressors. At least more were not killed.

No doubt some Muslims were killed. Extremists of any group don't care if they kill the decent folks that sit responsibly and innocently under the same general banner.

Hitler was a Christian. He killed millions of Christians, too, not just Jews. Did that matter to him? No. If you aren't supporting an extremist's cause, you're his enemy, even if you are the same religion, nationality, whatever.

Extremists have no right to claim commonality with any group other than their own deluded selves.

My, my, my

By now, you all know that I am an American. This made the news in America as well! Did you all hear what happened in New York City? The same thing happened in London as well! These insurgents may have names that are easier to pronounce than Osama Bin Laden, but it is still a sad story.

So, that goes to show you that "terrorism" is an English word, and as smart as we are, we know the meaning of the word, and it is terrible. It's very sad but very true!

What I am saying is, regardless of whether the terrorists have Iraqi traces, it is still a sad story. Excuse the silliness.

Hitler was no Christian. He simply professed to be a Christian.
