I like the third one: it looks neater and more compact stacked than spread out like number two, and the first one seems too "stainless steel"; the sort of design that professional websites that are trying to sell you things use. I just get the feeling that it's trying to fake being welcoming while having the underlying motive of trying to get things from you. That might be really weird, but it's the impression I get. The second and third ones feel more personal somehow, like effort's been put into them and subsequently into the site.

Re: the alien looking childish - I think it's part of Autism that people often are childish in many ways, some of them good, some not so great (sorry, but we may as well own that). But besides that fact, if you're gonna draw an alien that is a metaphor for, well alienation on planet earth, you can only be so literal and formal. Because how are you going to draw an accurate professional one? Being a little playful in the logo in no way stops us from being accomplished.

The first one looks too bland, and the kerning is bad. It looks like the logo for one of those sites that pops up when you mistype a URL. The gradient makes it look cheap, and the font and color choice remind me of The Sims.

The font for the second and third logos is much better, although I agree that the "sketched" look is not ideal. I think you should go with the second option but with solid colors and preferably no gradient.

The second one. It's like the first but it gives the place a more informal laid back touch. This is a support site, a clean corporate logo wouldn't suit.

Odd thought - can we not have two aliens?

All this feeling alone - surely it would be nice to show that we are not alone, as people and as a community? We could have a girl alien and a boy alien.

I think the alien is fine - it doesn't look like it's been specifically designed to impress people, but it exists more out of love from the creator of it...it is what it is, warts and all. So, actually, it's more than fine! :D

If that were the case, those of us who are lonely would end up envying a cartoon alien...

Not necessarily. It could symbolise that while some of us may be alone IRL, we are together here on Wrong Planet.

We are in SERIOUS need of a better sense of community here.

I suppose so, although as aspies we tend to be more literal and less symbolic in our interpretations.

I actually find this to be a wonderful community of aspies.
Unfortunately, that's a bit of an oxymoron, since aspies have a marked tendency to focus on ourselves and not others so much, even other aspies.
Still, even given that there's plenty of very supportive interaction on here, the kind one would look for in a community.

I'm late voting, but I like the top one. Actually I'd rather things stay looking exactly the same. It takes a long time to get used to new looking things. Netflix just changed too and I've read that YouTube did as well, but I haven't been to it yet so I don't know. I know change is good, and needed - especially in computers - so I vote one and I'll learn my way around the new site. :-)

1 is the best, but it is still a naked alien standing on Europe and mooning Asia.

The kerning is improper in each of the given examples, not just in the first one.

I really like the sketched look. However, I understand the concerns about it perhaps looking too childish. If you go with number 1, I would suggest stacking it. I think it's better to have a logo that fills up less space lengthwise.

I kinda like the 2nd and 3rd logos - I think the sketchy style of both is cool, and I just like the 3rd stacked one cuz it's....stacked. And I just like that for some reason. :D

I like the first logo better. Also, it's sort of closer the current one that we've got now.

True, although it was particularly noticeable on the first one for me.

Undoubtedly #1, but only because the one I'm most fond of aesthetically (#3) portrays too childlike of an image. Something that, to me, would just validate the stereotypes that ignorant tooshheads have about those on the spectrum. The first is still very aesthetically pleasing, but can also be taken much more seriously. :cat:

I like the third one.

The first one is nice and clean, the others while nice, is a bit confusing to look at, the lines messes with my concentration and my eyes.
