What is my sense of humor? Good question. Friends and family laugh at things I say but many times I am not sure what they are laughing at.
I frequently find myself asking "why are you laughing?" or "what was funny?" and that makes them laugh more sometimes.
for instance I had to leave from class earlier. Then the other day my friend said "you missed half of the class", I replied "actually it was 1/4" and they laughed. "linatet, you are so funny!"
go figure out :D

I have been told that my sense of humor is quite dry. I guess that is true. I enjoy humor that is either rather cerebral, or absurd, or bawdy - sort of opposite extremes.

I'm told that I'm hilarious, and I do enjoy making people laugh. I'm not a traditional joke teller, and get bored with long drawn-out jokes with lots of detail. I'm much better with short "cut to the chase" kind of jokes. I'm also really good at the "snappy comeback". I'm told that even my delivery and timing are funny.

I'm very good at remembering funny movie lines and stand-up comic bits that I've seen so I'll sprinkle them around in my conversation (giving full credit most of the time of who said it first, as if it actually matters  ). I guess I have a sort of "Brit" sense of humor, in that I love stuff like Monty Python, Black Adder, Red Dwarf, etc. It's snarky, sarcastic, surreal, with just the right touch of bawdy and slapstick. Not much for American sitcoms, but I love comics like Louis CK, Christopher Titus and Patton Oswalt. I like Kevin Hart and Gabriel Iglesias as well.

I don't like any kind of mean-spirited stuff: 99% of racist/sexist humor (I'll shamefully admit to laughing at the occasional joke in that vein), and I HATE practical jokes that get laughs by making someone else look like an ass. As far as stand-up I don't like, really nasty, dirty comics disgust me. People who their only goal is "Let's see how gross I can get." Dave Atell rides the line on that, and I NEVER watch the Comedy Central roasts for that reason. Dirty women comics are particularly offensive -- Amy Schumer and Sarah Silverman are two that come to mind. Don't get me wrong -- I can laugh at a dirty joke as well as the next person. I just don't want to listen to 30 minutes of them.

Nope. Just no. I don't tell jokes...I'm the person who's always the last one to understand the point of a joke

My sense of humor is derived 99% out of pure silliness, like saying certain things in silly ways or quoting people in cartoon voices and what not, it rarely shows its face because there's no-one I'm comfortable enough to do this around, but it's there when I'm playing videogames or having a good time.

For instance, in the game Jurrasic Park: Tresspasser, the opening movie starts with "My name is John Parker Hammond" in a British accent, which I've taken the liberty to say during random intervals every now and then, it's stupid but I enjoy the hell of out it.

Or if a police siren goes by, I'll say something stupid in a cartoon voice "You'll never catch me alive, coppers!'...pure silliness but I enjoy the hell out of it, when it's there, it's the best sort of high.

I love engaging that part of me.

I laugh very easily at my younger brother's crazy jokes and acting. Sometimes I laugh so hard that it is hard to breath!

I have tried to join in or add on to the joke, but I would get this look from him.

I ruin jokes! However, apparently I have been funny before, with or without trying to be funny. :)

Since I don't have much variation in facial expression and tone of voice, my humor tends to appear very dry. People still say I'm funny all the time and laugh a lot, so I guess I'm getting my point across :D

I tend to like witty and political/social types of humor. I enjoy stand up comedy from people like Margaret Cho, Wanda Sykes, and George Carlin. But I also like people just commenting on stupid things people do, like Louis CK and Jim Gaffigan.

I come from a very over the top family, they are over the top in terms of joking and teasing. Members of my family find me funny because they know me, but they don't always seem to know if I'm being facetious or serious because I'm very straight faced most of the time. If I'm around people I don't know and I fail at making them laugh ( if I try that is) I get really embarrassed and move away from the crowd. I make a lot of off color jokes and people sometimes get offended. I can't always tell if I've offended someone so I have a tendency to push it too far sometimes. I have a very dark and cynical sense of humor, not everyone gets it. The older I get the more I tell myself to keep my mouth shut. I use my wife's face to guage reactions sometimes, if she's looking at me and shaking her head, I'll be quiet and try to change the subject.

This describes my sense of humor exactly, as well. Only I don't have a wife to let me know when I'm being inappropriate. :)

I would recommend getting one. If you have the means it can be helpful :)

I love anti-jokes. I can also laugh at a street pole sometimes. Yes.. I have a very odd sense of humor. I don't find typical jokes funny.

that is because it is his show and he doesn't want anybody else stealing it from him, so to speak.

Meaning of Life was pretty good. I loved the bit about the Catholic man talking disdainfully about how Protestants use condoms to prevent pregnancy, and his wife (who had birthed about a bezillion kids at that point) was all ears about it. Wasn't Mr. Creosote in that one too? That after-dinner mint was a killer...LOL.

But as far as Monty Python films go, my heart will always belong to Holy Grail. :)
