I had to deal with this when I began to come out of my selective mutism. I rarely get it these days. I've become a pretty impulsive talker.

I still get surprised when people still think I'm being too quiet.

People make a big deal out of everything. Too quiet, too loud, too fidgety, too still. I've had people obsessed with my body language, and things I don't notice.

I hardly said a word all through out my school years. Whenever I did, I'd get the "Oh gosh he TALKED!" bit. If it bothers you, ask them to stop, or prove that you're not a "one trick-pony" so to speak.
