Does this happen to you? Sometimes I would feel a sudden breeze, and it would make me shudder like crazy for a split second. During this moment, it would not happen to anyone else around me. I especially notice this when sitting around a table and facing other people. This causes the others around me to react a little bit to my reaction; for example, my brother would mimic me in a mildly teasing way.

I used to get really cold in the shade in the spring and summer. No one else around was shivering. I have trouble regulating my own body temperature or something. I am also very sensitive to heat and have gotten heat exhaustion nearing heat stroke before. I also can be very sick and not get a fever but have a drop in body temperature. The only bug I get fevers with is strep throat and I get extremely sick very quickly with strep. I can shiver but it doesn't do what it doesn't seem to do what is supposed to do which is to raise the body temperature.

^Shivering in fear? Yes this has happened to me, but not from watching a film.

At nine years old, I used to worry that when I go to bed, I would not be alive in the morning. I remember one time that I went to bed and remembered toucheding the house plant that was apparently poisonous. My mother came in to say goodnight, and I started to shake like a leaf. Stuttering as I explained what happened, and she reassured me by explaining that it was only the juice from inside the plant. I touched the dry part.

Even after this, there was still a tendency for me to worry like this. At that age I would constantly focus on my breathing, and drink too much water at night.

Me too! I am almost always cold, even in the summer here in central California. My body temperature seems to change too easily; I can feel ok outside in the sun, but when I come into a public building or bus, I'm usually freezing because of the air conditioning, and will have to put on a ski cap and a hoodie to keep warm. I can't stay in the shade too long on a warm summer day because I get cold. I think my shivering happens mostly when I get low blood sugar, though.

I have full body shudders (tic) so, it's something out of my control.

^I also shiver a lot in cold weather. My muscles tense up, and my teeth will chatter; however, once I get used to it, I begin to have so much fun outside that I don't want to go inside. Especially because indoors starts to feel way too hot.

it doesn't get too cold over here, but i actually like winter and having to bundle up. i prefer that to our humid summers, sweating all night.

^I agree. It is great to be able to bundle up without feeling too hot. In hot weather, there is not a lot that can be done to stay comfortable, but I think that fall will come before we know it. :)

Yes, I am always wearing a jacket. When I was in school (10 yrs ago) I would always be freezing and so I just learned to always have a jacket or sweater with me. Breezes make my entire body freeze.

Well some people might think that, but its not exactly from cold I tend to get a bit on edge/anxious randomly due to ptsd and already having anxiety issues before that....I just prefer people think I'm just cold, so I might put on a sweater or something and mention how its getting chilly even though its not. Though sometimes I have been cold easier than others, specifically when its really hot out and it happens to cool down a lot at night compared to how hot it was its like my body has a hard time adjusting to that.

I used to shiver a lot for no reason when I was a child (I remember grandma keep asking me "Why did you shiver just now?" and I was unable to answer) but not anymore.

Although I am very sensible to cold. Unless it is very hot I usually wear 1 more layer of clothes than anyone around me (a hoodie when they are wearing just a t-shirt, a jacket when they are in hoodies). I am always cold. Even in this very moment I am keeping a blanket on my back although it is 24*C in my room. And in the winter I am always sitting at the hot heater, warming myself.

really big to do- like fly somewhere or take care of something complicated - I will frequently start shivering and sometimes vomiting while I start to prepare myself to go out and face the world.

I don't know about shivering from cold but I sometimes get a violent tick in my neck and sort of shiver, when people ask whats up I just say 'it just felt like someone walked over my grave' and they seem to know what I mean so I guess NTs get this aswell
