I don't really like taking showers sometimes, cause I feel like it gets in the way of my routine...

I shower twice a day normally, sometimes three times a day, because of my contamination fears. I hate baths, I hate baths so much that I haven't had one for years. Baths are a waste of time; you just sit in a solution of your own dirt. And if I took one shower a day like I perhaps should, I would be saving water rather than the huge amount of water taken up in a bath.

I love showers. While I shower just once per day I always regret having the leave the shower.

I don't really like to shower. It just seems like a lot of work. Once I am in, I just go as quick as possible and get out. I try to shower everyday but sometimes my depression gets the best of me and I skip a day or two (or three  ). I do really like being clean though!

I have trouble getting out of one. I love long hot showers. A psych friend once mentioned it might be like static (white noise) for my skin. Maybe?

I love showers. I am really good at getting out though because I am responsible for paying the bills and the water and sewage bills and the gas bill to heat the water add up quickly! That is always great incentive to get in and out of there as fast as possible! But I love showers and if I am were not paying for them I would be just like you Ezra except for the prodding to get in part. And add some organically scented body washes, heaven! :D

I like em OK & find they help when I'm feeling bad but I hate em when I have to shave.

I also prefer baths over showers. I need to soak my body.

Until not too long ago, I was really bad with it. Like, really bad. It was partially sensory issues, (though that was probably a very small part of it) partially not understanding how important of a social it actually was, partially getting myself to get into a schedule of doing that every day, and partially a procrastination / not knowing what time was a good time sort of thing. Now I'm at the point where I can't really feel comfortable during the day without doing it.

I use to not like them when I was young, until I was being singled out for hygiene issues.

I didn't know I was ASD back then, so I just begrudgingly put up with showering.

Now I find them relaxing because they are very routine in sound and sensory experience, and I am not bothered by anyone or anything while in it.

I could spend my whole day in there.

I must take a shower since it's so ingrained in my daily routine. It's a place where I can stim and relax with the steam and warm water. I get agitated if I'm prevented from doing it at least once a day.

I have "serious" problems with having showers. Water easily turns too cold or too hot! It is really unpleasant. It is probably quite common problem among Aspies. I am a "slob" :( I could not get a bath for three weeks. I bathe myself probably above two weeks from now. Sensory problems are large obstacle for me. Water should be pleasingly warm. Bathing and getting a shower are pleasant then. Water should have stable temperature.
