i dont know if i would call that sad, but that's how mine are most of the time. when i look in mirrors i startle myself sometimes.

making facial expressions is kind of hard.but then if we have our neutral faces on, people ask 'what's wrong?' 'you look bored/sad/mad/etc'

To me, those eyes look pensive rather than blank/sad.

Well I can't see how I look to someone else, people have said over the years that I've looked sad or angry when I was tho. Looking in the mirror I don't think they look blank, I don't know how I wear my face tho when I'm not looking at myself tho.

I wouldn't say blank, but sad yes.

I would most, if not all, aspies have this.

Last January in the big long post I made about how I've been treating my symptoms successfully I included a bit about what I believe causes "Aspie eyes." I learned just enough about iridology to learn that there are Solar Radari lines radiating out from the pupil in the iris that are indicative of leaky gut in the small intestine, transverse colon, and large intestine. I then monitored these lines as they shrunk and my eyes changed over many months as my digestive system healed. I believe that the leakier the gut, the "aspier" the eyes appear - that the glossed over eye look is caused by a physiological medical issue of an intestinal bacterial imbalance.

I love my aspie eyes. They give me a certain look that's hard to describe.

Not blank, no. Perhaps though a certain quality of gaze, that can be intense, serious; and perhaps this is perceived as sad by others? We tend not to have those "smiling eyes" though.

Some of us do have sad eyes as well, but so do some people on the other planet, and with good reason probably in both cases...

No I don't believe it, I see my eyes and my children's eyes (who also are autistic) everyday and they are bright and filled with life.
I guess some people may have less expressive eyes but in our family that is not the case.
