It differs per day for me, my biological clock has a 26-hour cycle instead of 24 hours, so my natural wake slieds trough the day over several weeks.

Whatever success I have had in my work life is primarily due to two reasons:

1. Finding work in remote third world like locations

2. Staying on night shift

Nocturnal, and how! My tendency to stay up all night and sleep all day tends to drive the people I live with crazy. :P I prefer being active during the night because it's peaceful and quiet, and everyone else is asleep, so I'm less likely to be bothered or interrupted in the middle of something.

Of course, being nocturnal can be a pain in the ass, for a variety of reasons. The main thing I don't like about it is just the fact that I have to make sure what I'm doing doesn't wake anyone else up, otherwise they lose sleep and get mad at me. Also, it makes it rather difficult for me to go to the store or run any other errands in town, as I need to get a ride in, and I need to be driven in when the businesses are open, which is during the day.

I want to move to a larger center some time so that I can have access to public transportation and 24-hour businesses. Living 20 minutes away from a small town sucks.

I've been a night owl for as long as I can remember, but ironically, I hate nighttime as it tends to trigger a lot of discomforting thoughts for me. I prefer daylight as a result, as I can just relax with the peace and beauty that comes with the sun and enjoy what I feel is the better time of the day.

That's probably why I like my days long and my nights short. :|

I'm a day person, definitely. I don't like being out in the dark. Everything looks different in the dark. People seem different too. I know the day time is more busy and more people, but I feel much safer being out in the day than I do at night.

Night person all the way. I'm more creative during the night, I work better at night.
But really it depends on the hours of the job I have at the moment (I work in films), when the call sheets call for day shoots I hate it, that means waking up early in the morning and being up all day. But when the sheet says night, it's perfect, I just love to work all night, drive tot the location when everyone is driving back home, and really I function better at night.
And when I work from home, I write and edit better during the night. So when I have no set job, I usually wake up around 12PM or 1PM, and don't go to bed before 5AM.

More likely nocturnal. Sometimes because I'm insomniac yet willing to stay up, or sometimes because I'm really hyper at night. I'm much better focusing at night on whatever task I got myself in. Or probably because it's more quiet that way or no distractions from or nosy people who are currently awake. But mostly I'm asleep at day (even in a middle of a class), which mostly backfires my school's schedules.

The dark night outside kinda calms me down, letting my senses go without worry of being overwhelmed. The cold don't bother me THAT WAY. XD Unless I start sneezing every 30 seconds that is. -.-
I really wish I CAN get out and walk at night without worrying about criminals on the streets...
And I like waiting for the sunrise XD and feel the sunrise's heat outside. Then go back in when it's too warm. I kinda like sunset's heat too whenever I wake up at late afternoons.

I'm Nocturmal. It's probably the only part that I can actually think for a bit, without my mind being a complete haze, which has a part with other people on there part. Meaning they leave me alone since they are asleep which gives me the chance to use what great mind that I have.

I always feel suffocated, never being able to breathe with my mind being a complete white haze. It's ubrearable.

Thing is, I tend to like night time... yet my brain usually shuts down at that time. If that makes any sense? lol.

It's hard to say really. I think if I was left to my own devices I'd probably lean more to the nocturnal side of life.

However, I function as a daytime person, due to my usual working hours.

Saying that though I do 10am til 8pm most days but I don't come alive properly until about 6pm.

Which pretty much says a lot for my working day.

I've been a afternoon/evening/night person most of my life. I am in a relationship with a morning person, has been a constant source of friction.

I have extreme difficulty transitioning cognitively from sleep to waking, as well as body fatigue that makes it hard to move around for the first half hour or so.

I'm a night person, I have it bad enough it interferes with my ability to get up for work normally. Right now I am awake from a failed attempt to reset my clock again, makes am grateful that my job hours are flexible to a degree. I am concerned about holding down future jobs because of it. I have reason to believe that it runs in my family, at least 3 generations back.

I'm nocturnal, call it insomnia or whatever but I usually find all the things I want to do when no body is about. I usually worry and contemplate about what happened that day. Or I can concentrate on an activity or just read about science all night. In an ideal world I would be happy with that, minus the worry.

I feel the most awake right before it's time to go to sleep and the most tired when it's time to get up.
