RESEARCH INTO THE EXPERIENCES OF WOMEN DIAGNOSED WITH ASPERGERS IN ADULTHOOD (18+)

I have recently participated in this research by Lucie Kanfiszer who is doing a thesis on this subject at Essex Uni. She is trying to ascertain why so many adult women 'fall through the net' when it comes to late diagnosis, and the information you provide would enable her to get some answers. If you feel you would be able to help, please contact her direct. Her email address is

[email protected]

If you live near Essex, Lucie will come to your home, or, for women who live further away, an interview can take place via SKYPE. Unfortunately, Lucie is only able to include women who have been formally assessed and diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder in adulthood at this time.

I enjoyed the interview I did with Lucie very much, you can bring photos with you or anything that will help you remember topics relevant to your Autistic Spectrum Disorder. The interview lasts about 2 hours, and you will be rewarded for the time involved.

If you have any questions to ask about this, please PM me or send an email to Lucie.

All the best

Jannie

That's so cool! Good luck to anyone who participates.
Maybe I'll end up doing my thesis on something similar to this.

This is just a quick note to let you know that I have heard from Lucie today (Sunday 4th January 2014) to say that she does not need any more candidates for this research .

I will keep you updated with any results of this research project and thank you for your interest in this post.
