I've considered becoming a monk before, though of the Taoist variety. Unfortunately, as I am a non-denominational Taoist, I'd have to start my own sect and my own monastery and whatnot.

It's hard to get people to invest in that, especially when you start pitching the idea of high-speed internet in some areas of the monastery.

Really interesting that you found friends (partly) because of politics. I grew up in that tradition and couldn't even consider going back because of the politics.

I disagree... studies have shown the same spread of religious philosophies in Aspies as in NTs... that is to say, some of us are atheist, some are spirtual, some are religious, in the same percentages as the NTs.
