121 for me. I guess I oscillate between amusement and sadness most of the time.

I did a search for
ONLINE ALEXITHYMIA QUESTIONNAIRE and took the test at the top on the list.

What I am aware of enough to describe is: anxious, relaxed, depressed and angry.

Apparently, if an NT suddenly felt as alexithymic as you or I apparently are normally, they would feel "emotionally numb" and might find it distressing.

How is this possible? 8O
I mean I still find it distressing having sooooo many emotions and I also score alexithymic.

My score is 119, that's already considered being in the high range and I would wish having less emotions, because mine distress me.

I think it should be this one:

(I took it in German, so I'm not sure wich version is the correct one in english, but it looks like the right one)

Alexithymia doesn't equal little emotions, it means that you can't identify them, which may explain your distress.
Like, you feel unhappy, but you don't know why.

I was going from what my mother said about having experienced trauma-induced alexithymia. I may have overgeneralized.

Actually surprised my sexual difficulties/disinterest score is so low.. considering I'm asexual, find the human body neutral, and sex kinda gross and not in the least bit romantic or emotional...

Score = 99, i.e. possible alexithymia.

But I didn't feel that the test was working. Too many "don't know" answers. Too many "do people tell you x about yourself?" which never works for me because people have hardly ever told me anything about myself, and even when they have, the correctness has been very questionable. Too many questions I feel I could have easily answered quite differently on a different day.

Rather than just getting the client to self-assess, I'd prefer a test that made the client attempt to do things that an alexithymic person couldn't do.

You show high alexithymic traits.
I really thought I would score better, - lower number.

These were my two high score areas. I think these two areas point to significant factors in how the autistic brain functions differently than the NT brain. I'm thinking this is especially true of how the brain's workspace is used for
imaginative processes.
