Yes, and I would not miss the following:-
-Being a target for 13-year-old boys to humiliate as they ride by on their bikes
-All the other ways random people act really weird just to get my attention, so that they can get me to see them laughing at me
-Having countless memories of being left out and rejected by other kids through school
-Being limited to boring standard low-paid jobs like cleaning or stacking shelves, because I'm too shy and/or too dumb for better jobs
-Being assumed that I lack empathy in every situation, so having the emotional/irrational side of everything explained to me like I'm 5 years old - even though it's the logical/rational side of things I find more confusing, but the ''lack of empathy'' BS just sticks in people's minds before even giving me a chance
-Uncontrollably bursting into tears when enraged or helpless about something
-Getting too obsessed with certain people, then getting into trouble later and making an idiot of myself
-Being so forgetful and scatterbrained
-Getting easily agitated with small children, or with people standing too close to me if I don't know them
-Being dopey and quirky like Homer Simpson
-Getting a new job being even harder because of being torn between feeling afraid of disclosing my AS to the employer due to the job being jeopardized, and feeling afraid of not telling the employer because they then won't understand my absent-mindedness, quirkiness and anxieties, and having people ganging up on me because of it. It happened before
And lots more. Yeah, my life would be great if I didn't have all the s**t above and lots more.

There's definitely some things I don't like about autism, but I wouldn't want to get rid of it all together. I think it's a part of who I am and the way I see the world. There's also some things that I enjoy that I probably wouldn't like as much if I wasn't autistic.
Even if there was a cure for it I would think it would be dangerous since autism seems to effect most of the brain.
All of this holds true for me too.
Also, it's not like I would suddenly land a safe and well-paid job, which is pretty much what my life lacks (economical security). Other than that, I am quite content.
There are other problems I have I'd rather have cured, some medical problems I'm not going into.

This is how I see it as well. My condition is something that has been here since the beginning so has helped shape who I am; good or bad. It is a tremendous burden in some ways but there are also aspects that I quite like. I have some sensory issues which can make things VERY difficult. I would not mind getting rid of all that. I think "curing" it would definitely have detrimental aspects.
