My medical ID, sound reducing headphones, wearing a hoodie when going somewhere.

I usually bring a baseball cap, my iPhone 5 charger, and my pocket knife when I go into public. I tend to get paranoid if I don't bring these objects.

I always have my Labradorite mineral palm stone with me which I love the smoothness of, but it also full of flaws and cracks - I like that too. That goes in my left trouser pocket with a small pouch of 'lucky' or memory items that make me smile.

In my right pocket, I must have a handkerchief, two pens, (one fountain pen and the other a fine nib rollerball pen) a small Victorinox pocketknife and some coins. I never keep copper coins, only silver or Pound coins.

I usually always have my old battered leather messenger bag with me and that has a lot of other things like my earphones, extra ink cartridges, office keys, a couple of carabiners - not really sure why but I like them - and always a couple of books.

Different from some others on here, but pretty much the same idea and purpose.

I also never leave the room, nevermind the house, without having my phone with me as I always like having the internet available.

I've never really written that down before, it does look odd doesn't it!

I don't carry it, but I call it "silky". I have to have a blanket with silk around the edges so anytime I'm in bed I usually feel it between my toes and fingers. If I had a small version of silky, I would carry it around so I could touch it all the time but I can only find the queen bed size blankets. It would have to fit in my purse/bag.

Shanky the pocket knife. As long as he's with me I know I'll be able to open a package, whittle a carving out of a bar of soap, or even jump-start the old ATX power supply I keep on my workbench for testing junk. He's not really much good for actually cutting anything because he's fairly dull. I just like having it with me, and I anthropomorphize the s**t out of it, dunno why.

I carry a small smooth palm stone also, I have a few different ones, they fit inside a coiled wire pendent on a long necklace, or I put one in my handbag.

Yes. If I go somewhere I usually take some kind of bag with me to carry several items in.
One of the more common items I keep with me is a calculator that can do cube roots.

That's like my blankets! I have two blankets that have satin edges, and for as long as I can remember (which is a very long time) I've run my fingers along the edges, sometimes for hours. I love my blankets very much and I wish that I could take them places. I don't think that grown adults are supposed to carry security blankets, though, so my blankets stay at home - or at most in the car- when I run errands or go to work or school.

Also, see my avatar.

When I was little I would often carry around one of my plastic dinosaurs with me and stand it near whatever I was doing.
My favorite was a yellow T-Rex.

Love the avatar :)

"I don't really care if you like me or not!"
Linus was always my favourite Peanuts character; I preferred the pre-1985 strips before Charles Schulz got rid of his blanket.

I have lots of cute stuffed animals that I hold to calm myself when I am upset. Unfortunately I feel too self-conscious to carry them around outside on most occasions. (I wish I could though.) But it does help to be able to return home and hold them. My husband is the same and our bed is covered in stuffed animals! He has a big green froggy and a penguin and I have numerous squirrels, a baby seal, and a hedgehog.

I imagine that eventually I will get tired of conforming to social conventions and just carry a squirrel around regardless. I have taken a squirrel to weddings and to college classes on a few occasions. Most people responded positively and thought the squirrel was cute. But I think it is generally seen as childish to carry stuffed animals around so I usually keep them at home.

A pair of buttons that fell off my old coat. They're raised around the edge and make a satisfying clicking sound when I rub them together (satisfying for me; they probably drive everyone else crazy).

Also, I guess I carry around my (dog training) clicker. I really try not to make noise with it at work (because I'm sure that would drive everyone else crazy), but I'll play with it sometimes; rolling it around in my hands.

At home I've Ralph: my large stuffed dog. I've been on the lookout for a pocket-sized Ralph to take along with me, but so far no luck.

I do. I have stim toys for days, a purse full, some obvious, some not. I'm okay with it, really I'm thankful for it. If I could carry around my weighted blanket I would, one of these days I'll get around to making a weighted vest or sweater. I have loud hands. All these things help me cope and avoid and/or stop meltdowns.
