I LOVE hugs from people I've come to love -- close friends, or an intimate partner such as a boyfriend or husband.
I don't mind hugs from friends I know in a social circle.
I HATE hugs from a stranger or an acquaintance with whom there really is no established affection to the point where touching me is appropriate. I really do not like that.
So, I have a kind of "hierarchy of hugs"
This is how I feel about this. I can hug my siblings, my autistic friends, and don't mind hugs from other friends. I can't stand hugs from parents relatives, or total strangers.
