Hi,
I am new here. I have a 12 year old son who's been diagnosed with autism.

He was put on depakote and seroquel recently. Well, the depakote he's been on for a few years now. The seroquel is new, just started back in May.
His behavior issues are back with a vengeance. I think the issue is pain, likely a headache. He was trembling a bit this mornng and then had a huge tantrum not long afterwards. He had another at school. It is either head pain or maybe related to his stomach, both times he tantrumed in the bathroom.

Anyone here have this experience on Seroquel? Thanks. My son is not very verbal and can't tell us what is wrong. :(

I take 300mg Seroquel daily, but I've never had an issue with headaches...the primary side effect is usually drowsiness.

i hate seroquel, i was on it for 2 months and it made me feel awful. if it's causing him pain he shouldn't be on it. poor kid.

tinyteddy,
Do you mind telling me, in what ways did you feel awful?

My pediatrician is not thrilled that my son was put on this med. He told me it can cause urinary issues as well as diabetic issues, etc. Looking into getting him switched to something else.

Dr. is almost 100 percent sure my son passed a kidney stone last week....which would explain one Huge source of his pain!
