Ok, whatever. Some advice: read your post over before submitting it. You can come across as a bit of an a** and AS or no AS, doesn't mean people can't improve their social skills.

G'Luck.

Well, he came to people that have AS, know the symptons and the traits. I can see no harm in someone asking people that live through similiar experiences to get opinions before going to a doctor which could end up embarrassing the hell out of him.

No insults were given anywhere, nor any downtalking. Explain your logic.

Questioning someone when they seek help, when they haven't done anything wrong comes across as ignorant to me and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Although I'm sure you'll disgaree and go on about something or other.

Oh and for the doctor thing, people vary from one another. I personally hate going to the doctor aswell and was even embarrassed to goto A & E when my finger was broken. Just some people are that way.

Doctors tend to look down on people who read up too much on something and run in assuming they have it. At the same time though, why should you care what some doctor thinks who doesn't mean anything to you? In addition, aspies aren't as susceptible to embarresment given their lack of understanding over it. Your profile says you're not sure, Valhalla. Lol, quit pestering us here with your assumptions and go to your doctor.

Wait, how did I try to pass my 'irrational' fears onto? I stated that I didn't like going to the doctors and that the person wasn't wrong in coming to an AS forum to gather opinions.

See, now you're going back to being an a** and I'm sure you'll blame you AS on it too without even trying to improve what you call your social failure.

For the record, I have booked an appointment for an AS specialist.

I went to the doctors before.
It wasn't scary because my mum did all the talking.

yes, it was a joke.
I was ridiculing the assumption that you found it embarrassing in going to a doctor.

To be fair, asking us to give a medical diagnosis based off your subjective, selectively-chosen 'symptoms' isn't such a wise thing to do. We'd be giving you a false 'hope' or deluding you or whatever, reducing your likelihood of going and getting a real dx.

If you truly want to know, then make it official. What are we gonna do? You going to take our word for it and leave it at that?
