I should have been more clear about what I'm trying to ask. I was wondering if autistics can move their bodies smoothly to any type of music? And I'm not talking about simple back and forth steps, I mean can they grove and move their entire bodies to the music??? I know a lot can play sports but it seems like when my cousins that are on the spectrum try to move, they look awkward and don't really get involved in sports.
I can't dance. At all. Groove? Me? LOL. I dance like a puppet on strings, or a robot.
I can sing. I can play some instruments, but my right and left hands have a lot of difficulty moving independently, so I'm limited in what I can play----mostly brass instruments with one handed fingerings (or slide movement in the case of a trombone).
Yet, I have always been athletic. I have pretty good hand/eye co-ordination. I can hit and catch a baseball, play tennis, hit a golf ball straight, play basketball, and race a bicycle.
