Aspergers did not stop me from getting a girlfriend and improving my social skills significantly, working up the nerve to ask for a job application and get interviewed, go to college, coping with loud places, blah, blah.

Aspergers did not stop me from starting a family, bring up 2 children on my own, deal with my daughters very complex medical issues, drive a car.....

is frequently only a nuisance and somewhat of a hindrance. My failures are caused by my laziness. It takes me longer than most people to learn certain things--but I learn them, eventually.

becoming a great swim teacher and learning to ski. :D I think my Asperger's really helped me in those things actually.
