I'm definitely naive, and never quite understand what's going on in other people's minds.

My approach to social interaction is like how I play chess. (That is to say, very badly!) I vaguely know how the pieces are supposed to move, and I try to make a move that looks reasonable... But somehow I find myself in check mate in less than a minute - saying something completely wrong, and the conversation ends awkwardly.

I've learned just to laugh at it. :P
