And to think I was just getting ready to post a Happy Thanksgiving greeting to everyone! (at least, everyone in the US.)

I think the vast majority of the US people here would enjoy having someone wish them a Happy Thanksgiving.

I'm going to offer myself as a role model (also offering myself for a target, I realize - how'd this big red bullseye get painted on my face?).

We go to a restaurant every year, and would I be stressed right now, if we didn't! my crew is dwindling but who knows, it might get bigger, if some of these aspergers genes get passed on to a new generation!

So Happy Thanksgiving, everyone, but don't all assume everyone else is having the Norman Rockwell dinner!

Any luck and I'll have a fast AWD car in service once more before xmas. I & some other quirky friends have been quite upfront about lacking the energy for turkey day this year. Tryptophan & red wine is not a cocktail anybody can withstand after eleven months of reading/refactoring code & applied math... @_@

it's always a stressful time, all the time. The Holidays I don't care that much about, all I have is my immediate family so it isn't anything different than it usually is when I come over. We have this expectation of all this pomp and circumstance surrounding Thanksgiving and Christmas but we hardly ever live up to it.

I'm kinda gobsmacked at how many people resent any good wishes or thoughts from anybody. It's one of the few things I can understand. Whether they mean it or not, I can't tell, so I shall live in my rose garden and assume they are sincere wishes.

That being said, yes, it is very stressful. For instance, I wanted a quiet weekend. Decompressing, working on a model. But, it's an American holiday, so my wife is going nuts trying to make a big deal about it. Thanksgiving is one of my favorites because from early Wednesday afternoon until the following Monday, nobody needs me, wants me or bothers me.

Until I got married. Then, dadgummit! She goes and tries to make things all holiday-ey. :Sarcasm:
