Trains, buses, and now Airplanes.

As well as skyscrapers.

I have a mild interest in cars... ok, I guess one can say that I'm a fan of anything that moves in wheels lol.

I used to be into Tropical Fish and animals (It always was mainly reptiles and sea creatures) I still do like both... would love to have a pet lizard but I hate bugs, which the lizards at my local pet shop feed on.

The local news in my area was also my special interest at one point.

And a couple of other things..

My lifelong special interests have been video games, anime (my favorite still being Sailor Moon even after watching 20-plus years of anime), and medicine (neurology and pharmachology). When I was younger, I was obsessed with everything Pokemon.

Roleplaying games - both pen and paper and computer. For the last couple pf years it has been White Wolf's old world of Darkness line. They released a new one, but I just like the old one better.

I chose fiction.

I like Doctor Who, Myst, Team Fortress 2, and lots of Disney movies. However, I don't like cats. But trains are cool.
When I was younger, I was obsessed with dinosaurs. *shrug*

I voted for ''other'', because my obsession is over certain people.

I think that there are too many for this poll to be useful. Mine are space (history, future, solar system, potential for extraterrestrial life in the solar system, Titan, exoplanets), the ocean (especially the unknown), my job (for the last two jobs, I still find myself looking at buildings and their construction even though I haven't worked in construction for 4 years). These ones seem to be permanent.
Occasionally the works of Tolkien (LotR, Hobbit, Silmarillion especially), though this comes and goes. Cryptozoology. Anything else that grabs my imagination (I once spent several consecutive nights just looking at old photos and maps of my town, noting what had changed, which was quite a substantial task considering I was looking at maps up to 1200 years old!).

Animals, trains and computers are all on your list, but I voted for computers.

Where's Politics, social science, Government and Law? I'm in a niche subject - well, I'm suprised. I like Cats, I have four, but....they are just Cats!

I am still waiting for a new (or former) interest to develop/redevelop. At times like now - where I am somewhat apathetic and disinterested in everything - I spend the majority of my time eating, jogging, listening to music and vacuously surfing the web. Incidentally, my last interest was autism. However, after my imprisoned sister proclaimed that she is autistic, which was solely based on an unofficial diagnostic test, I have decided to shut up about the subject. :|

Mine are Friends, The Office (US), autism, psychology, clothes.

In the past they've been skincare, make-up, mental health, sexual health, arts and crafts (which is one that's always an interest but fluctuates in how much I do it).
