I sat in one when they first came out, it had the same "sitting in a bucket" feel to it that the vega and pinto and gremlin and mustang II had of that era. you have to remove a motor mount on each side to get to the damned spark plugs. it is a wonder that after the vega and this car, that GM is still in business. but the Monza was so stylish! :o and it had a cute little v8 engine that made all the right noises at the right times and still got 20 miles per gallon and accelerated decently for the era.

Everyone seems to hate that tv show Portlandia but I love it and think its one of the best programs on tv right now.

I hate Adele's voice. I don't know why she's so popular. She can't sing properly. She sings from her throat not her stomach. It's awful.

Annnnd. Different is pronounced as spelled. Not Deeeefrent. Ok Adele. So unprofessional.

I've been around people that have a certain quality to their voice that just goes right through my head like a siren. The only description I have is a 'trumpet like' quality.

One of my favourite bands. Not too popular, though.

Trust me. You're not the only one. I can't stand her voice either. There was a quote from her once where she said she makes music for the ears and not the eyes, but I don't even like the music for the ears anyways.

IMHO 99% of today's music has melodies, chord patterns and lyrics unmusical to my ears. :eew:

I agree with this. :) nothing has a beat anymore, it's all just a bunch of synchro-junk.

I know it's a little off-topic, but I don't get it why the concept of family is so much praised: if you are/were abused by your parents (or something in the like), why are there still people who claim that you should still love and respect them, simply because they 'made' you? Considering Dawkins' idea of the selfish gene and some experiments showing direct correlations between shared genes and willingness to help one another, favouring one's family is just a little less selfish than favouring onself: how then could such a thing be a virtue?

Not to say that I dislike the idea of kinship, I just don't get why some people see it as something very noble.

It is noble when they do make the sacrifice, Can't think of anyone who says to stay in an abusive relationship or that an abusive family life is good.. As for love and respect, dunno about that one. Loved my mother, but had no respect.

I still hold onto the comforting notion that family is what has to take you when you got no place else to go. luckily that has worked out for me.

I hate...
- movies with more action than dialogue
- mayonnaise
- singing contest shows
- sativa
- capitalist materialism
- sleeping alone in the pure dark (yes, still)

Yes, sometimes with others driving it makes it even worse and then I feel dizzy.

that is why I prefer being driven especially in a smooth-riding/quiet car such as a caddilac or buick or Toyota sedan.
