Since Wrong Planet has been set up in a way that prevents from replying to people in threads, does anyone know of a good autism forum that has the technological capability to allow me to perform this basic procedure?

Just one more step.... Just one more step.... Just one more step.... Just one more step....

So, you can reply to posts with your PC, but you can't reply to posts with another device - am I right?

If so, then the problem is specific to that other device, and not this website.

I can reply from my phone, my iPad, my PC, my other PC, and the Mac at work.

Not sure if this is supposed to be humorous or not (and also a vent), but I laughed. I've dealt with the same problem many times with this site. And about the other clowns in here simply posting as counter evidence, I mean did they not see your total post count? obviously you've been able to post comments before, so are people looking to blow your mind with the ability to post? Unless their aim was humour as well, in which case meh I liked OP's attempt better

peace.

I would put up with those North Korean scam messages if I could post without a day's journey through the datamining of Google, CloudFlare and Quantcast.

Even using my PC I have to go through a routine just for a simple edit. That's captacha working improperly. Lots of people are having problems with this. Captcha should work the same on any device and browser, if it's working properly. I think it needs to be fixed rather than defended.

Reminds me when a bunch of people report how laggy the online game I play is being and then someone says, no it's working fine for me, so it's you with the problem, not the game itself. No, it's the game not working properly. Eventually someone fixes the issue and then presto all of a sudden our devices work properly....until the game starts glitching again. Hopefully they will either properly fix the captcha or just remove it as it doesn't seem to be stopping the spam. Which is another indicator it's not working properly.

Good. I am serious, but did not want to just sound whiny.

Yeah, after over two years and thousands of posts, you would think I can tell when there's a glitch. If there was any aim at humor I missed it. But the same type of humor was applied in a thread about my online game being glitchy and I missed that too, until I read the reactions to it.

If I may offer a possible anecdote-based suggestion?

Clear your browser cache and cookies. Each device I've done that on can now post without issue. I still get Captcha'd but it's a simple checkbox that says, "I am not a robot" and the post or reply goes through fine. None of the devices were working property prior. Not saying it is the fault of the device, it's just that the cached data/cookie may be preventing you from actually utilizing the fixed code (if any, that was implemented)?

Forgot to mention, it is possible to surgically clear them in say, firefox with the right plugins, if you happen to use it.

Great advice and I don't mean to sound like I am shooting it down, but I just don't think veteran members should have to resort to various techniques to get around a glitch. That in itself is just as annoying and discouraging as the glitch itself. And not really any kind of solution to me. Or am I just completely wrong about this too?

Actually that part was sarcasm on my part. I am a member of several autism forums (including right planet). But this one is by far the best. My only complaint is the whole cloudflare and or captcha whatever that WP uses that has made trying to post a major ordeal at times over the years.

I don't want piss off the site owners or moderators here but there are various cloudflare hacks floating around the net. You can google them and see if you could get pass the captcha that way, the spammers obviously use some type of similar methods to post. I don't know if you could get banned for using said hacks since you would be posting legitimately so I can't advise here. Its not something I would risk since I am not good at using good judgement and it seems like thats a good way to piss Alex off.

Also I understand about other forums, they seem to have a bit of drama on them and I was kinda targeted for a while so I just stay in my comfort zone here. I left Right Planet and really this is the only forum I post on at all now, I don't have a facebook or anything really. Just Steam and Wrong Planet now.

Cloudflare is more pathetic than even that.

You can bypass it's crap WITHOUT any hacks. It hasnt been able to stop me posting in a LONG time, though it sure tries. I'll admit, watching it fail is... very satisfying.

And hell, those bots that flood the forums dont even TRY. They dont need to.

Ugh. It's not a "service", it's just a facepalm generator. It's good for a laugh at most.

EDIT: Golly! What a surprise! It tried again just now! Thwarted it in 3 seconds. I doubt that's a record though.

The last coupla days I have just had to check the box that says "I am not a robot", and my reply is in like Flynn.

EZ.

Why I even have to do THAT I dont know since all of the robots that work for the snake oil salesmen in Mumbai, and for the South Korean gambling casinos, make original posts, and never reply to existing posts on existing threads like I do.

But its gotten easy nonetheless.
