What don;t you understand about people?
I agree, weddings suck so much. I was stuffed into an itchy pink dress for 4 hours. Small talk is like torture.
About the fake sincerity comment, I absolutely agree with you. The more I pick up on subtle nuances the more I realize 90% of it is insincere. I don't know if it's just my perception of tone or something, but I feel most people are completely faking, and getting away with it!! the most praised, the joel osteens, the dr. oz's, etc just seem the worst even. If in person and I enquire further they shut down immediately, like "hey don't question my front"
Very tiring because being fake socially is like the surest way to subconsciously demand a lack of respect from me.
No, i don't think so. You expressed yourself, with your thoughts.
And the people after who you seem angry, simply just do it as well, they express their opinions.
There is always a bit of truth in every opinion and it is interesting that each opinion is expressed and considered.
Also, each time a new idea is expressed, it is at first not proved by science.
The person proposing an original idea, at first looks "crazy", then proves the idea true /or not, and whenever the person proves it, the person doesn't look crazy anymore, the person is a name in science, a scientist and a little part of the future knowledge.
It also often happens that former knowledge, which lasted for years is suddenly completely reviewed and proved wrong.
The only thing we can be sure about is that we NEVER know.
Speeding. This activity also perplexes me. You see it all the time - people zooming their car past yours, switching lanes like they own the road, just to end up...one second ahead of you? You go zooming past me as if trying to save your house from burning to the ground, then get stuck at a light which I arrive to seconds later. You waste your time and risk getting a speeding ticket just for that? Who are you trying to impress, Danica Patrick?
And what's with all this honking business you do? I'm sitting at an intersection, waiting to make a right, and I don't move because someone's walking across the street. Suddenly, you honk behind me to tell me to get a move on. What the f*uck do you want me to do? Jump my car into the air over the pedestrian?
Also, just a little advice. When you stick your head out of your car, whistle and yell catcalls at female pedestrians like, "Hey baby, do fries go with that shake?" or "Hey baby, wanna come to my crib?" or "Hey princess, you wanna come to my castle?" or whatever stupid statement you make, do you really think she's going to stop, turn and look at you, and agree to go for a ride? Not only do you look desperate and ridiculous, you're also harassing people, you moron.

I don't understand enough about how they feel, that's for sure. I'm not bad at the thing these days but I'm sure I miss a lot of important stuff.
Reading stuff about human and zoological social science explained most of the things about them that had puzzled me, and I can usually think of a tentative explanation for the rest, I think that helps temper my frustration with people, as individuals, groups, or the whole pack of them. I still find it frustrating that equality isn't a whole lot better, and that there's so many con merchants out there.
* I can't tell when people are earnest or not.
* I can't tell when people like each other.
* I can't tell when people are bored with me.
* I can't understand why people do things like exclude me, or alternatively, include me.
* I don't understand how normal people convey sarcasm and humor.
* I don't understand how people can organize so well.
* I don't understand why people believe certain things so easily and other things so difficultly.
* I don't understand what goes on inside an average person's head on a daily basis, (if there is an average).
* I don't understand what attracts most people to each other, (I'm guessing this one is normal).
* I don't understand my peers' attitudes towards teachers.
* I don't understand much about human biology.
* I don't understand what is considered "mature" nowadays.
* I don't know how other people read nonverbal cues, if it is different from how I do it.
<--- Doesn't understand why people stand at bus stops staring at their phone and not talking to each other, or cross the street staring at their phone without looking out for traffic, or talk gibberish on their phone for hours, or stare at pictures of cats and Kardashians incessantly on their phone, or pay those ludicrous prices for cell phone service, prices so high that they become slaves to their jobs just to pay the dumb bill.
<--- Doesn't understand blind loyalty. Here's an example. It is 1575. The King of France insults the King of England so England goes to war with France. Over an insult!? How come the people of England don't say, "Your highness, I know the King of France hurt your feelings, so here's a pair of boxing clubs. Go spar with your insulter in a courtyard somewhere. Leave us out of your ridiculous, petty, trifling matters."
Or
The King of England hears the Queen is having an affair so he tells his soldiers to grab her, take her out to the courtyard, and chop her head off. Really? For an affair? Why do the soldiers say, "Sure, your highness. The sentence will be carried out at once." How come they don't say, "Cut her head off? That's ridiculous!" and go on about their business. Is taking off the Queen's head as easy and lackadaisical as peeling an onion?
Or
Throughout your history you've continually shown how simple crimes don't fit their extreme punishment. How come your people don't say to your leaders, "Hey boss, don't you think you're overreacting here? First of all, I can't stand the sight of blood, and secondly, why don't go you get a massage from some buxom lass? You sound stressed."
Or
Agree to massacre their own cousins. (Yes, the Huns and Mongolians are related as are the Khmer Rouge and the people of Cambodia or the people of North & South Korea). How come none of your underlings say, "Boss, of all the edicts you're created, massacring my own cousins is out of the question. That's ridiculous and makes no sense. Go plant a tree or ride a horse or something. You sound like you need a vacation."

I don't understand how having lack of knowledge about something equals stupidity. For example, not knowing who lady gaga is or not knowing the ship Titanic even existed. I didn't even know who Nicholas II was until I saw the name on here in a thread so I googled it to see who that person was. Did that mean I was stupid for not knowing who he was? Even someone at work would seem surprised I didn't know about a event that happened elsewhere in the world. I don't watch the news or even read the paper. How does this equal intelligence? Most of the news I get is what I see randomly online when I see it being talked about on forums but then again I don't always read about the event unless I get curious because it's been made a huge fuss about. Then I google it to read about it to see what it's about.
About people not knowing that 9/11 happened, I wonder what kind of sheltered life they have been living to not ever find out about it because that was everywhere when it happened and it would always get mentioned for a while and still does sometimes, they will call it 9/11. I would expect a child to not know because they were not even born when it happened or they were real young when it did and I would wonder if the schools ever taught it to them though history.

^ Yes, the strange belief that what is obvious to one person should be obvious to everybody except a complete fool. I do suffer from it myself a little, my gut reaction can be quite " " when I notice that somebody has never questioned the validity of the free market system or whatever, but I put that down to that autistic thing that also tends to make me think that if I like a thing, so must everybody else, hence my tendency to woffle on for hours about what fascinates me, to people it doesn't fascinate at all. It's a bad flaw, so I try to do all I can to correct myself before I open my mouth. But others are usually not autistic, and rarely temper their annoyance at me for not being more like them, so I don't know what their excuse is.
I don't understand the need to be constantly surrounded by noise - musak in shops and when call-waiting, television blaring out when no-ones even watching a show, gratuitous use of power tools when you have a garden the size of a postage stamp.
That's why I like the night-time. I'm not a vampire or anything - but I've got to get a few hours of quiet every day so that I can keep my grip on reality.
