All of the time, as I lack facial expression and tone of voice.

sometimes

I'm usually pretty quite and reserved, I don't like bringing attention to myself so I generally try to be polite.

Constantly. It's the unfiltered bluntness and tone I am told.

Apparently I "have an attitude" - seems I become very serious very quickly, this is probably due to being overwhelmed in stress situations and putting all my effort into extricating myself...

Yup - sometimes. I try to be as polite as I can but I get it wrong from time to time.

One of the things I've tried to help with this is to tell people I'm close to that I dont always iunderstand that I'm being rude and ask them to give me some gentle feedback if I'm getting it wrong. This helps me learn how to avoid being unintentionally rude to people.

Yep, that's why I like to avoid people as much as I can
