Generally, I don't mind them. But sometimes, it gets so hot that I cannot stand them at all. Its really hot around my area right now, and I feel really overheated, especially since I am in school. Really unbearable heatwave.
Hopefully, I can manage... :sunny: :?

Wow so many people who feel the same!

I've never understood why people seem to like hot weather and want to be outside in it or want to take their beach vacations at the hottest, most unbearable and miserable time of year. I just can't fathom how anyone can enjoy it. We went to the beach during summer a few times when I was a kid and I just remember it being a misery.

I live in the southeastern US and we just had a short burst of cool, cloudy weather that was wonderful.

I feel just the same. I don't understand the liking for the sun. I like cool cloudy days too. I think I'm OK with the cold most of the time though and I like the rain too although I prefer not to get wet. Being inside in a rain storm feels beautiful, especially in the summer when you can smell it through the fan light windows.

I like it here. I think May is usually my favourite month - the oilseed rape is in flower so many fields are bright bright yellow and the cow parsley is filling out the hedgerows. Usually it's warm but not hot and often cloudy. This year it's been hot for May though and it came on quite suddenly so there was no time to adjust.

Yeah I too find it aggravating the way they make it sound like now we'll all be cheering because we all love sunny hot weather. It escalates the bad mood the heat alone causes. Same when they make a little rain sound like a tragedy. I love me some rain.

Absolutely! That's just how I feel.

I love autumn too. So beautiful and not to cold or hot, or too dark or light. :-)

I have found the perfect house for hot sunny days. It is dark and very cool in my living room. The sun comes through the window early in the morning so by the time the sun is a major problem it is around the back of the house.

If I was in a house with the sun coming through the windows all day I would have to shut my curtains and hide away

That sounds lovely. Half of my place faces south so I do close the curtains all day in the summer. It keeps things nice and cool inside.

I love this hot sunny weather. I've been in shorts and t-shirt all weekend and it's been lovely.

I do like the rain, more so in the winter time, but a bit of summer rain is nice.

I feel the cold more, so that is why I love the warmer weather. Too much cold literally hurts me, too much heat can be uncomfortable but more bearable for me. Also my ears and sinuses work better in the heat.

Well that makes a lot of sense. If cold hurts then warm must be nice.

Well I've got all my windows open to try and keep cool because I just had my tea and now I'm pissing in sweat.

That sounds very uncomfortable. It's just began to rain here - hope it cools off soon for you too.

If I could, I'd move to somewhere with much better weather! I've really enjoyed this weekend, though!

For me the sun on my skin is like getting a mild radation burn. What you describe sounds really lovely. If I felt like that I'm sure I would like the sun too.

No rain, though. :(

That sounds lovely - my kind of weather!

No thank you! A beautiful day to me is one where it's cool and rainy out. My dad used to tease me and say, "It's a good day for ducks and (my name)!" when it was like that outside.

LOL I'm with you there!

I particularly like rain and snow because rain and snow does not bother me and it keeps most people, who do bother me, indoors. Snow days are not as good as having the world all to myself but the next best thing.

Oh my goodness, I feel like that too somtimes. Some weather keeps a lot of people indoors and I like less people. I've got nothing against folk but too many people being loud and near me in their gardens stresses me out.

Thanks again to everyone who's joined this thread so far - I'm going to read through the rest tomorrow.

Sunny days are no problems, but I have to be careful a bit. I must use sunscreen, even if I (wrongly) think that the sun is not agressive.

Temperatures until 26 degrees Celcius (77 degrees Fahrenheit) are not a problem for me. Higher than that is too hot for me.
Temperatures between 0 (32) and 18 (64) are boring. It is often raining and cold, but...
Temperatures lower tan 0 (32) degrees means frost, but I like that. I am not very sensitive to cold from the wheather. A cold strong wind can be nasty, though.
Temperatures lower than -15 (5) are too cold for me.

I don't like them very much because the sun bothers me a little because of sensory issues. I sometimes have to squint, even with sunglasses. Hot weather also makes me more moody. Cool weather feels much more refreshing.

It's not the heat that bothers me, it's the humidity and particulate pollution.

The climate here is pretty much the opposite of the UK, every day is hot and sunny and dry! You really need sunglasses, it's like the surface of the sun. I don't hate the desert weather totally but it wears on you.

I have not the replies and cannot promise I will but I too am not all that into sunny days, especially hot days! As you may know, I live in Tucson, Arizona and boy does it get hot, especially in the summer and it's supposed to be 100 degrees F this coming Friday! And it may be Friday the 13th but I don't believe in that. (I added "F" to 100 degrees after seeing Fnord do it, good idea!)

I mean I do like sunny days but I'm more of a fan of cloudy days and cold weather and I also love it when it rains, which it sometimes does if you're very fortunate or if we get an El' Nino. Hopefully this summer and this monsoon season, which starts on the 15th of next month, we'll have lots of rain storms!

I also like snow, I'm from Indiana and I've lived in upstate New York, Germany, and Minnesota. Believe it or not, sometimes but very rarely, it snows in Tucson, not just on the mountains where it usually goes but sometimes in the valley and city itself! You should have been in Tucson in early 2013, it was cold into April of that year! Sierra Vista, where I lived before gets snow more than Tucson does. So if you don't think it gets cold in Arizona, move to Arizona and live in Arizona for a year or two, at least in Tucson or somewhere south and east of Tucson.

But yeah I like gray days and cloudy days and overcast days and rainy days more than sunny days. And I like cold more than hot, but I do love Tucson like a ball n' chain and feel safe in this town weather-wise, although we do get microbursts, and there's nowhere in the world I'd rather live.

There have been times in my life gray days didn't help, sometimes they do me no good when I suffer from severe depression and I have and I didn't appreciate sunny weather all that much until it hit me, that and possibly not being in Arizona at the time.

But cloudy days are more relaxing to me than sunny days.

Before I forget, I also hate how heat feels, and you are sure to get that in Arizona, and I really hate it when we get into the triple digits as well as the 90s but I hate the triples way more! And I hate how the sweat from the heat ruins my clothes. I've had times I've had to take a shower, including cold showers, when coming home, and sometimes I get too tired to take a shower, and sometimes it takes effort for me to take showers although it feels good after you do so. I don't like taking cold showers but I do want to feel cool if possible.

On an unrelated note, I too have been having trouble with the CAPTCHAs. I was on Chrome before and it kept having me do captchas and my message wouldn't post (not this one another one in another topic) so I switched to old-fashioned Internet Explorer and this seems to be working better so far. Let's see if this works...

Where I come from most people come out when it snows. You pass more people if walking in a big spacious field in the snow, than if walking in a big spacious field on a hot sunny day. I think it's because snow isn't very usual here, and people like walking in it, whereas on lovely hot sunny days people head down to the coast or relax in their gardens.

I love when it's sunny and I love the hot feeling the sun gives you. It's 18 degrees today and it's glorious. I also love the snow and the rain, the only type of weather I'm not overly thrilled about is the wind.

I hate heat. I can manage cold weather a lot better. Hot sunny days just means having to wear clothes I dislike, sweating (which is sensory hell), feeling like a useless slug and having to wear sunglasses at all times because the sharp light is just too much. Summer nights are nice tho, when the temperature drops and the light is a bit lower.

I find bright light painful, so have a secret loathing of Perfect Summers. Plus, I sweat a lot from heat. My idea of hell is being sat out at a barbecue at midday, sun beating down, no shade anywhere. Which has happened, so I've been to hell.
I survived a research trip to India by sidling down the street from shade tree to shade tree. Had to spend a week in Columbo, Sri Lanka, to get my visa renewed... to my horror, I found there were absolutely no trees in the streets. I went out in daylight exactly twice.

60C is when a sauna is just getting warm enough, for me. 85 is about where I like it.

I was in one where it got up to 95. I lasted about 3 minutes.

I dislike humidity altogether, primarily due to my skin. I have eczema and it is bad enough on cold, rainy days but when the heatwave hits (as it has in the UK) I get incredibly itchy even if I put cream on, because of sweating. When it happens it makes talking to people and doing things really difficult and stressful and it takes ages to get relief. As much as I want to I can't enjoy hot weather, I don't know how I'd cope going abroad to a hot country.
