And the reverse is true. Truth comes from all peoples. My wife, who is Chinese (currently separated but in contact and working on things) teaches me a lot by way of example. Different perspective. And, now that I no longer get the 'ancient Chinese saying' thing (yes, I do get that sometimes) it's good because some of those 'Ancient Chinese sayings' are just the same things you will find in every culture. Nobody owns goodness. Nobody owns badness.

your reinterpretation of what i said is futile. what you said is true, and i would not have commented on it but for the fact you used what i said as your launch pad.
what you are saying has no relationship to the simple fact i asserted that was that garbage is utterable from the mouths of all colors and creeds.
so is wisdom if i need to add that. your chinese wife can rest comfortably in the knowledge that i have no ill thoughts about the capacity of chinese people to talk sense

White man????

At least four women have started threads still visible on the front page of this forum: Bumble,Devil Kisses,Peach Castella, and Startrekker.

About the White part: how do you know? Race is not stated in the profile, and only a minority of WP members use their own image as an avatar. Many more folks on here are Black than you probably realize.

WTF? I offered an expansion and you're treating as if it is argumentative?

If any attempt to validate and expand is futile, I think it says a lot more about you than it does to me.

I shall remember that your words, in the future, are absolute and shall not be expanded upon or agreed upon Just ignored.

I'm a black female. There's a article about a black male on this site. Look, WP is NOT racist though I think you seriously read that article.

No offense, that white man talk is invalid here.

Please, let's stop arguing and lock this thread before it becomes something else.

The differences between what you said I said was this simply:

You focused on the negative aspects to learn from others. I prefer to learn from the positive examples.

Having lived in places where I am the minority and have learned many positive things from my experiences of all cultures I have come into contact with, I just wanted to put forth the positive.

The addendum about my wife is that I have an intimate knowledge of the culture that you would not get from the outside. It was a way for me to show a concrete example of the positive while showing that culturally, the basics remain the same.

I choose to focus on the positive.

As for the actual thread, I just found it funny that the OP had to cop to not looking at the front page where there is a person of color featured. Are people of color under represented? Probably. Just as there are a lot of late diagnoses that do not get noticed because they 'already have' coping mechanisms or just live in the uncanny valley.

I also found it funny because there are all sorts of people here and we just don't know what their cultural background is until they let it be known.

Well said.

Reading the OP. This thread doesn't need to turn into a race card type of thread and the ignorant generalization and drama behind it.

I think someone can agree before a mod locks it.

This thread was opened by a sock puppet for a previously banned member who is not black, who is also known to have posted on racist hate sites in the past.
