This is going to be really funny but certain things on the Telly used to scare me like certain title sequences or things. The people in England would only get this my mum watches Countdown on Channel 4 and I used to run away when the clock came on and they did the close up.

Also the start of the Nine o'clock News used to scare (The Music)
The start of Tomorrows World (When you saw the head)
Thats about it

I used to be terrified of going down steep stairs and slopes, and also of one of the MGM lion logos (the static one). I've outgrown my fear of stairs and slopes (I still can't go down them quickly though), but the MGM lion still creeps me out! :P

Is that with Jon Pertwee or Tom Baker?

I was afraid of a lot of things, but my worst fear was that people would discover that I didn't like to drink milk. I was terrified that someone would discover my secret and that I would be humiliated in front of all my classmates.

I was afraid of men, especially those with facial hair.

The dark
Elevators
Being sucked into the underside of an escalator
Heights (or, the thought of what the landing would be like if I fell)
Deep water
Drains. Yes. Drains...In the bathtub or shower.
Old men. (sorry)

Except for drains (usually...)I'm afraid of most of the other above things...I deal though. I'm tuff. 8O (sceered)

I was afraid of men in white coats for many months after I had an operation on my eyes at 18 months. I guess I thought they were going to operate on my eyes again.

I used to be afraid that there was a psychic somewhere in the room in public places so I kept my mind as clear as possible.

I was always scared of lifts. Fit with my fear of heights, I suppose. I always had to use the stairs instead. Made those inner-city stations with only lifts a pain in the arse :(

Also, I used to be scared of giant brains (wait, don't go!). I had this horrible dream when I was really young, I remember being chased down a hallway by this giant brain... it disintegrated me and then the chase repeated itself. Each time I'd almost get to the living room to warn my parents, but the thing would disintegrate me JUST as I got to the door, every time. I think it was because of a boss on one of the old Shinobi games on the Mega Drive... on which note, I remember the last boss on one of them had an evil laugh that scared the hell out of me.

Games scared the hell out of me as a kid, actually... anything Silent Hill scared me. I'd imagine Pyramid Head coming to kill me or whatever when I was trying to sleep. I was a nerdy, scared-y kid :O

I used to be afraid of owls. I use to think they would be hovering outside my window at night. If I left my curtains open at night, I would refuse to go into my room until someone had closed them.

I was afraid to flush public toilets when I was younger because it was too loud. I still am afraid of loud noises.

I also hated stairs with gaps between the steps. Always afraid I was going to fall through. I was always afraid of falling on escalators too. Now I'm not so much afraid of those, but still cautious.

New places, people, being abandoned, sudden loud noises, distruption to routine
