I understand your meaning... But I don't understand how I could be smarter than you, for understanding a sentence you yourself wrote. Is that just a figure of speech?

I'm a bit insecure about being misunderstood, you'll have to forgive me. The way I understand language is different from the majority of people.

I am a language teacher and amateur language scientist, I want to create a theory of language that can benefit autism spectrum persons as well as those with other neurological conditions.
