I think there is a correlation. Look at Ray Davies of The Kinks for example.

How hard is it to just admit the truths I have mentioned? Every day I see posts about struggles everyone faces and not just stuff from social interaction. When we own up to it, we can then begin to understand it all better.

it all means nothing.
intelligence is the ability to solve puzzles.
the harder the puzzle you can solve, the more intelligent you are.

Writing as a man of perhaps below average intelligence, I do not believe there's a direct correlation between Asperger's Syndrome and a high level of intellect. Whilst many of us can become fixated on a subject that captures our interest, this should not be synonymous with smartness. It's said that people tend to overestimate their own intellectual abilities, and I believe those on the spectrum are no different in this regard.

EXACTLY! Intelligence is not just memorizing useless facts! Why is everyone here too stubborn to admit they deserve better! Everyone should not have to be disabled!

Jeffrey Alan Ford will raise the average since he is the 2016 Genius of the year.

I respectfully disagree. there is still something out there heretofore undiscovered that will show your mettle to your satisfaction.

I think there's going to be a relationship between the two, even if it isn't due to the way the brain is wired. It's like the relationship with glasses and intelligence. It doesn't make you automatically intelligent, but in general it is going to mean you're less likely to be out doing sports and more likely to be reading or something more academic.

intelligence can manifest in some unexpected ways. but in general, the more intelligent one is, the greater complexity of living and thinking. to borrow a tired computer analogy, it is like how a 8088 cpu could not handle video editing, but that a Pentium can. it takes a certain amount of mental horsepower to even conceive of certain things.
