I got 74. But I would expect my score to be higher as I started learning British Sign Language aged 16 and I use it for work. This has put me into the habit of using more facial expression and gesture.

I didn't know the answers to most of the questions.

I got a 71.
From the website:

Greater levels of nonverbal immediacy are generally seen as positive and are statistically associated with a variety of positive outcomes. For example, individuals who show higher levels of nonverbal immediacy get more dates at speed dating events (Houser et. al., 2008) and students of teachers who exhibit more nonverbal immediacy learn more (Rodríguez et. al., 1996).

74. Not surprised, but did expect a lower result.

At the end of the test you get to see the average scores for men (something like 98) and womyn (like 103 if I recall).

This being an autism-based forum, I expected most of the scores to be low. On a regular forum, most of the people got around 80 or 90.

It means you're below average.

Your score for nonverbal immediacy was 61. Higher scores indicate more nonverbal immediacy. The average score for men was 93.8 and the average score for women was 102.0 in a sample of college students.

I found the some of the questions difficult. I have no idea if:
- I use my hands and arms to gesture while talking to people
- I have a relaxed/tense body position when I talk to people
- I frown/smile while talking to people
- My voice is monotonous or dull when I talk to people

The "touching" thing was interesting as well. I will tap people, if I want to get their attention. Otherwise, I avoid touching.

Some of the questions were hard to answer and I personally would have benefited from an outside observer answering them with accuracy. You have said you are not on the spectrum in the past, I am curious what you got if you don't mind me asking?

I got a score of "69" on the test, don't know if that's good or not...
