I know that asexual people face plenty of challenges in their own way, and that realistically there is no way to become asexual just as there is no way to become gay or bi as it's the way you were born, but as a het AS male, I'm extremely envious of those who are asexual. I've found that almost all of my problems come from my libido and failed pursuits of women. I feel that if my libido were eliminated through chemical castration, I might even be happier.

Hmm. I'm ace myself. I know what meds can be taken which reduces libido in most men and Depo provera sp* is one of them. It's a female contraceptive but it's also given to people with problem sexual behaviour so I've read. You get it injected and it works 3 months. Perhaps a Dr could do that for you?

Can psychiatrists prescribe it too? Also would most doctors consider it morally wrong to give it to a man who isn't a sex offender?

No, but, if you so some research and perhaps assistance I'm sure you can get some. Some women don't go to the dr to get it but buy from a pharmacy. I was going to use this med on my ex (with permission )because he had a problem similar and wanted a lower sex drive but then he wasn't serious about it.

I myself am not asexual but I do not desire a longterm partner and I have seen many AS people in the same boat as you. Perhaps talking to a psychiatrist may help.

I wouldn't take any sort of medication for this.

I'm already over this entire idea. I was just in a bad mood this morning because I had a couple disappointing dates in the past couple weeks.

My mind goes in weird directions sometimes. Like I've also occasionally had paranoid fantasies that people I don't even care about or can even specify besides some generic group of "enemies" want me castrated. I don't think I'm a paranoid schizophrenic though, I just think I have too much time on my hands and need to think about healthier and more productive things sometimes. Thankfully I should be working full time soon.
