Aww, I'm sorry you feel that way. I feel like I don't fit in at all. I feel like my hobbies and interests are not normal or mainstream enough. I love fashion, makeup, coloring, video games and reading. I feel like I'm an outcast and weird because I'm not posting selfies on Instagram as a hobby like other girls and women.

You and Emily Dickinson:

I'm nobody! Who are you?
And are you nobody too?
Then there's a pair of us--don't tell
They'll banish us, you know.

How dreary to be somebody!
How public, like a frog
To tell your name the livelong day
To an admiring bog!

I'm right there with you. But I no longer have that friend to keep me connected.

Hi, I really appreciate your replies. :)
I tried to make a post on Kijiji similar to this to let others know, but it won't let me and I think the page is broken as I tried to do a test ad and the same thing happened.

I think we don't see our kind because we stay hidden, and lack of putting ourselves out there due to fear. I understand completely.
I thought I was the only one of my kind and it was driving me angry and no matter how much I tried, I kept only getting bullies, fakes and sociopaths, which have ruined me and now I'm scared of connecting with people. :(
I can't explain how frustrating it is/was.

(((Hugs)))

Powerpuff Girls, I can relate to your first post in this thread, especially the complex stuff. You can PM me if you want; we can be friends. That'll be one kind of start to you not being ignored any more. :)

Center of negative attention is how I've felt since high school. I used to say thingsin the worst posible way where they could get interpreted in the worst possible way too. Luckily I learned how to explain myself either before or after I put my foot in my mouth. :)

You are not a nobody because like many who have posted here on this thread so far, I've experienced many similar phases myself.

You must also be bursting with opinions left unexpressed... because you have a lot to say but don't know how to say it or say it wrong. I got really anxious and depressed because I had a lot to express that I couldnb't express, and I seemed dumber than I was because I hadn't expressed it... I either expressed something else instead by accident (used the wrong words) or kept it all inside for fear of expressing it wrong or getting backlash.

You (and other people here) should also keep in mind that there is a phenomenon that a colleague of mine is currently documenting where it seems that predatory-type neurotypicals seem to seek out autistic people because they think they are easier to take advantage of.

If you read up on sociopaths and predators, probably any of us can think of a person we've met who fits the description. It is very difficult to spot this type of person before they start taking advantage of any of us. All we can do is try to identify this type of person in our life once they start doing us harm and get away from them.

So it's totally not your fault if this kind of person is seeking you out. You're already now seeking out good people. Just keep doing that and it WILL work out for you.

"I'm the one who has Autism and can't even fit in with other people who have Autism (weird, huh?)"

That is so me too,
I just don't fit in, constantly feel like a mutant or something like that, just not a human as I don't seem to fit in with humans.

You are very likely neurodiverse (Aspie)

Your not a nobody rather, someone whom wound up with some unpleasant scenarios, as I've had a multitude of disastrous scenarios, yet I keep going on even if things at times seem bleak

Hi, just letting you know I haven't abandoned you or forgotten about you. I've just been keeping myself busy and don't log in much because I have trouble with the site, such as logging in, navigating, etc.

~ Peace

I wish I had never posted that things were going well for me. Pretty much everything I worked to build is going away. I don't feel much of a sense of worth anymore.

Be glad that you're a nobody, like myself. That way, you don't have everyone and their brother annoying you for whatever all the time.

Sorry that you're feeling this way : ( I'm not super great with words but I relate to your struggles with life. I have trouble fitting in with people with autism too. It really sucks when you can't connect with people that you feel like you're supposed to be able to connect with. Know that you are definitely not alone on this one, even if it feels like it. I hope you are doing well right now.

P.s. the powerpuff girls are awesome! I wouldn't call myself a huge fan by any means but I enjoyed watching it as a kid and think it's still a lot of fun today

I was diagnosed at Asperger's at 8, I felt like an outcast at school. The way I tried to go about my condition was to constantly communicate with people. Whenever, wherever. I became more involved with my church, I played in bands and I hung out with people in youth groups. I still sometimes have trouble communicating and being accepted by other people but you shouldn't let other people make you feel hopeless. If people can't accept you for who you are, they are probably not worth your time.
Don't give up.

I was never formally diagnosed with anything, but I would call myself an extremely late starter socially. Now I have quite a few social outlets and people have said they liked me. As a child, I was something of an outcast and at college I was simply too busy with my studies to socialize much.
