My "resting face" is pretty blank, which is fine, but I sometimes apparently accidentally signal disagreement or disapproval with my face when I'm just thinking and listening, which causes problems in meetings at work.

It doesn't happened as much now, but a few years ago my coworkers would seem to always ask me if I was okay when I was just fine. It seems neutral expressions are seen in a very negative way. It would be a little strange to constantly have a smile on your face though.

Yes, normally I'm quite blank, but apparently occasionally seem to be looking intently at people, which has apparently made people think I'm angry at them, or upset, or in a few cases am attracted to them! Generally when this happens I'm not even conscious of looking at them.

I do this too sometimes, but I try to make a conscious effort not to. Sometimes people think that I'm looking at them when I'm just looking at something else in their direction. I just know because I would here them complain that they thought I was staring at them.

I don't know how my facial expressions look, but people 'read' them wrong all the time. Like I can be feeling good and think I'm reacting positively to someone, but they think I am bored or annoyed at them. When people point it out I start getting self conscious about it and probably pull even stranger expressions just to try 'appear' happier or whatever. I can tell I frown a lot with my eyebrows, but its mainly because I'm concentrating or thinking, not that I'm angry.

Been this way all my life, I remember kids in kindergarten asking why I was so angry or sad or whatever when. I try to smile more now but it's terrible & obviously forced, I don't even want to think about what others have thought of me. Mean mug all the time, I am sure at school people think poorly of me which is why nobody ever talks to me. Wearing sunglasses helps a bit.

This is a well-known phenomenon called "resting b***h face".
