I'm sensitive to light
have transition lenses, my regular glasses turn dark in the sun which is useful.
especially when you've waxing your WHITE car in the middle of the day under the unrelenting shemesh...
dude, same. i wonder if there's a word for that kind of unflattering property of intense illumination?
i imagine that it would be worse in the inner cities when compared to the countryside, the abundance of heat-absorbing concrete and cement in the former never helps matters here in so-cal, and it's hard to appreciate the heat haze - wavy, cloudy appearance of objects when looked at through heated air. personally, most often observed on top of metal roofs....
keep telling ya, australia wasn't meant for you white folk. truly one of the brits' greatest errors....
if i were on my laptop, i'd post a pic or four of some of those scenes. rainy nights, lights reflected, really like it.
those in bangladesh probably have a different attitude to rain.

Yes. It was sunny today and I felt blinded by the light. I usually love spring/ summer because I can wear my shades. Often in winter it's too bright for me as well but it's not acceptable to wear shades.
More than sun though, I hate office lighting. Fluorescent is worsr but anything where it's bright inside and unnatural is horrible for me. When it gets too much I can't think clearly and because of that I get anxious

OK, I bet all of you consume a lot of fast food, food from a dining hall at a university, or at least buy frozen meals at the grocery store. Food from all of these sources is notoriously deficient in vitamin A or its precursor beta carotene. And when you chronically lack vitamin A, the result is inability to open your eyes on a sunny day. I was in the same situation after four years at uni and then six years in the military. I have pics of me in Germany squinting even on a cloudy day!
But after I got to where I could have fresh sweet potatoes and carrots frequently, and had done so for several months, I didn't have to squint anymore and the only time I needed shades was when I was on the beach. Nor was driving at night much of a problem. That is what worked for me.

if operative words are "a lot of", then you would be wrong. but i'm guilty as charged when it comes to consuming those at least once per year....
i can open my eyes on a sunny day just fine. just not when stading next to a gleaming white car with sun directly overhead, that's even worse than the beach in my experience.
let's see those pics.
