Do people with aspergers have a certain dress sense?

I just wanted to ask this, as I am quite confused right now. I saw a thread on here that was not very nice about someone else, and it made me wonder about something.
Clothing was mentioned, and I was unsure what to think. I am very sure I myself have aspergers, and am currently waiting to see my GP to arrange an assessment.
Clothing wise, I have never thought of myself as odd though. I do like some clothing that is a bit different, such as lots of different colours and patterns, but people have commented on liking it in the past, and I just took it that I liked things like this. I don't always wear things like that, but is there a common way people with aspergers dress?
I score very high on tests for aspergers and/or autism, and have always known I was somehow different to everyone else, just never in the clothing sense.
My clothes tend to be oversized, unfashionable yet extremely comfortable. In terms of colours, they are usually fairly dark but I have worn eccentrically designed trainers before. I used to wear slip-on vans that had pink dinosaurs on them.

For me it depends on my mood. I have MH difficulties as well as ASD and when I'm low I tend to wear trackie bottoms and oversized tshirts and hoodies. When I'm doing ok it tends to be a mix between trackers and jeans/skinny jeans. I don't usually like tight tops but when I'm a bit manic I wear anything. I like feeling amazing and looking amazing etc so tend to make more of an effort.
I don't like the feeling of tight material against my stomach so I rarely wear fitted tops and usually go for looser, freer tops. I actually like the feel of skinny jeans against my legs too. So there are some sensory things there but I think mainly it's just my mood. It also doesn't help that my weight goes up and down so sometimes I don't actually have anything that fits other than trackies even if I wanted to wear them.
I tend to wear things with hoods a lot, although I do also wear sweaters without hoods too. But I do like hoods.
I wear jeans a lot, with either trainers or boots. I like wearing long fitted T-shirts underneath my hoodie or sweater, but if it doesn't look right then I wear a shorter T-shirt.
In the summer I wear T-shirt and short shorts with sandals, and a thin jacket if I get cold. I am rather trendy, so I don't look unpresentable or different to my peers really.

Those on the spectrum with tactile sensitivities will dress for comfort, not fashion. Some wear clothes that fit loose other like tight clothes as a comfort things. Me, i like oversized shirts with tightness at the ankles, my ankles are very sensitive and feel better when theyre compressed.
Some on the spectrum (like me) just dont understand or care about fashion, it doesnt make any real sense especially if your not trying to attract anyone.
And also some on the spectrum have a hard time with personal hygiene and have difficulty washing their clothes regularly leading to dirty or smelly clothing. Also an insistance on wearing one outfit and one outfit alone. I went through this. I had a sonic T-shirt that was my favourite, it was just the right size and it had SONIC on it, i wore it for a year straight, no exaggeration, no lie, 1 year everyday, everynight, i didnt wash it often, i rmemeber washing it a total of 5 times. One day, my dad convinved me to wash it and i never saw it again.

No. I don't know if there is even a correlation between Aspergers and dress sense. People dress certain ways for whatever reason, often to fit in or look 'cool' or whatever. I usually dress for comfort, but I try not to under-dress too much. I hate wearing slacks, so I might not always be at the same level everyone else is at church, for instance. But I try not to look sloppy, though. My understanding is you should look like you care about what you look like, even if you don't, so I try to do that.
Yep, comfortable and loose. With other health things going on I get cold very fast and don't have the heat tolerance I used to. With cargo pants the thigh pocket can be used and sitting on wallet in hip pocket is avoided.
In cool weather sweats are good. Zip up instead of pullover hoodies are used.
Only for a limited time can I stand things like socks and thermal underwear around my ankles.
With summer on its way I am happy that my favorite cargo pants and tropical shirts are the right clothes.
Until temperature reaches 82F, 27C, I have to wear long pants because at any cooler than that my knees and legs hurt.
Don't like wearing shoes at home; and do like shoes which are lightweight, and soft inside.

I don't like jeans or anything too tight on my legs. Leggings and anything stretchy are okay, however. I typically wear shorts of some nice, bright color and a Doctor Who shirt (usually black or white). I always wear sneakers and they are always white. I don't like having my feet exposed. I will always carry a cross-body bag too, for my comfort items and things like my phone, iPod, and wallet.

Hmm, I've never really noticed.
I'd say if anything, we all wear comfortable clothing to avoid them being too much..
I don't really have a dress sense, I wear whatever helps me leave the house - Typically it's a metal band T-shirt, jeans, and beanie hat with my tinted prescription glasses and multi-coloured gloves.

The truly well dressed aspie gentleman always wears: a plaid shirt with plaid pants, and always has one side of his shirt tucked in, and one side tucked out. I like to add the flourish of making sure I wear a jacket the same color as my slacks, but not quite the same shade of that color (so they almost, but dont quite match).
i wear only dark colors because light and bright colors distract and annoy me.
i don't care about rips, burn holes, paint stains, etc. as long as the item is still functioning properly.
i don't like change, so if the item is no longer functioning properly i'll try to fix it before giving up on it. i am not very patient with sewing, so, they tend to look pretty frankenstein.
i like my personal style!

I tend to dress like a metalhead metal band-t shirts, jeans/cargo pants/cut offs...though I do have a LOTR shirt, a Game of Thrones shirt, two shirts of The Doors, and like 3 Pink Floyd shirts. So yeah those types of above mentioned pants and t-shirts of things I like are the main ingredients of my wardrobe...I also have lots of hoodies and sweaters without hoods of various styles.
I have never liked very feminine shoes...I've mostly worn converse shoes or various brands of 'skate shoes' like vans, suppra and brands like that(never got into skateboarding but the shoes for it are comfy lol. Always wanted doc marten boots, but was only able to get some in this last year.
I wear other things sometimes but that is pretty much my default style. It is comfortable doesn't look bad on me at least I don't think so and I really don't care much about current fashion trends, plus I think it would be a waste of money to have to constantly update a wardrobe to keep up with trends. I imagine many others on the spectrum probably wear what they like and don't have a huge regard for fashion trends and things, but I don't think there is a particular Aspergers style.

I tend to prefer looser fitting shirts, most my t-shirts are regular smalls and mediums, Though I have a couple medium womens t shirts I can tell because they are a little shaped around the body not a rectangles lol. Those are my worst favorite t-shirts but tolerable enough to wear when all my others are dirty. If they were small womens t-shirts it would be unbearable, even the ones I have are a little tight around the arm-pits and shoulders.
As for pants though i wear size 0, I am not really someone who could buy an outfit set because either the top would be too small or the pants would be too big. But usually I get clothes at thrift stores, clearance racks and I have gotten some of my shirts from concerts.

I wouldn't say I have trouble washing clothes regularly, I mean I might wear the same item for more than one day before throwing it in the laundry if it doesn't get too dirty within the first day. But yeah the trouble I have is putting clothes away...much of time I just end up with piles of clean clothes and dirty clothes on the floor that I have to collect and put in the laundry bin. So I tend to have clean but rather wrinkly clothes since much of the time they are kept in piles. Sometimes the clean and dirty piles get mixed up so I sometimes sort clean and dirty laundry by smelling it, if it smells I wash it if it doesn't I throw it in the clean pile.
Sometimes I don't even know why there is a dresser in my room or clothes hangers in my closet as half the time my clean clothes don't make it there, may as well just get some boxes to throw everything in to at least keep it sorted instead....lol.
