What is an Aspie sense of humour like?

This is the kind of thing I find funny. Satire and surrealism.

For mine it's been described as sarcastic, dry, quirky and sometimes dark.

I am pretty much entertained by those same types.

It's a mix of parody, satire, randomness, stupid, and dry. Well maybe some sarcasm but usually not that good at doing it or getting it from other people. But I love the one's I get right or understand right.

Spotting anomalies in what people say or do is funny too.

Adult Swim's "Robot Chicken".... I can binge watch those back-to-back-to-back all day while laughing hysterically. My wife (NT) just looks at me with a confused expression of "I don't get it".

My favorite kinds of humor are usually things involving death, mayhem, destruction, and bathroom business.

Things that make me laugh are certain things people say, and "puns".

Sometimes, when a person coughs, sneezes, and especially pukes, it makes me giggle, sometimes I laugh.

I'm sure humor differs among Aspies, but I am strongly drawn to satire. I suspect that's pretty common, judging from all of the geeky types (me being one) who frequent RiffTrax movie events...

I fall into the category of deadpan and dark humor, though I don't think any deadpan on my part is intentional - usually just a snarky remark others find funny.

I thought I was the only one who did that! When most people sneeze, I usually giggle or laugh. My husband doesn't get it. Haha

I find humor in mostly stuff I enjoy, but randomness and parodies has made me laugh. Currently some of my drawings are pretty hilarious, but edited videos of stuff like kids shows, Michael Rosen, DBZ, Sonic and Batman have made me laugh my head off. They are so damn funny :D

I thought that the Marx Brothers, newer Addams Family, Caddyshack and George Carlin were interesting, for taking normal, awkward, social situations, outside of their usual context. They are just ideas, not written in stone. In and of itself, I felt that has socially-redeeming value.

But, rather than just being nihilistic or bleak, can't ideas be changed for the better. I would like to see it effect tangible change in the world.

I have a very dry sense of humor with a sarcastic streak. It helps me identify who is intelligent and who isn't. A lot of my humor goes over peoples heads. If people laugh, chances are they are brighter than the average. I had an appointment with a new cardiologist yesterday. I find meeting new Dr's very stressful. He and I spend 45 minutes making each other laugh. It was the most fun I've had in ages. I wish there were more people like him around. He could keep up with my brain. Made a nice change.

I often laugh a lot at really well-made YouTube Poop videos because they are so random and weird. Like one time I was watching one of Big Bird where he thinks the alphabet is one long word and sings a song about it to, Susan I think, and afterwards Susan claps her hands and says, "That was wonderful Big Bird, but really I hate you." I laughed so hard that I had to pause the video and my eyes and nose were like waterfalls.

I tend to laugh a lot at things I wasn't expecting to be funny, even if I knew they'd at least be mildly amusing because they're humor-based.
