Binaural Beats are basically new-age nonsense.

Did you not look at the pubmed studies I posted up? 3-4 + pub med double blinds trump a skeptoid article.

you're not going to experience a psychadelic trip from binaural beats, however there is a range of subtle perhaps synergistic effects to be had from targeted use. Think meditation or sleep assistance or anxiety management

Of course I did. The results are easily explained by the sensations BBs cause some listeners.

But you posted something much more interesting early:

I've tried Binaural Beats, and also a MindLab Orion 'Brainwave Entrainment Device' which used BB's as well as goggles with flashing lights. Designed to synchronise brainwaves with the device.

Neither worked.

For me focusing on a steady pulsing light with eyes open works best.

We, the people on the Autistic Spectrum have a choice.
We can either try to "fit in" with the rest of society, or we can be so egocentric that we can't be bothered.
I choose the actor. I observe NT's. I listen to their socializing. I practice it, so in social situations I can just emulate/mimic what is expected.
It isn't natural for me, but it enables me to "fit in".
It is VERY tiring and draining, but at least we can appear like them even though it is an act. Like being on the stage.
They can't see it is emulation, and so we are accepted.

Thank you, informative and well-spoken. Lots of value! It is a very useful post about the Binaural Beats Sleep.
