I do because I know I'll get hood conversation here. Other aspie forums are tumbleweed towns.

why dont we boycott wrong planet and go somewhere else until it gets fixed?

some of us have attachments, healthy or otherwise.

i'm sure if one could transfer their post count, quite a few would be all packed and ready to move.

I've actually encountered next to no problems with the site. Granted, it does have a habit of going down every so often, but aside from that, I haven't had any serious issues.

Anyway, I definitely come back to WrongPlanet for the discussions more than anything else.

I'm new here but i haven't noticed any glitches. I guess this script is pretty old, but hey, it works fine and it doesn't wreck havoc on my Firefox browser the way the Invsionboards do. The only problem I've noticed is the spam flooding. But yeah, the people seem nice here. I'm trying another autism forum as well. There's also the Psych Forums which have boards for all sorts of mental disorders but that one doesn't seem nearly as active, unfortunately. I don't really know anyone here yet, but I'm basically here for self-discovery, to see whether I fit into the autism thing or not.

WP is a faulty site. I'm tired of having to keep putting in my password nearly every time I visit the site. And don't get me started on the spam we seem to get more than ever now.

I did have a logging out issue for a few days a while back but touch wood I've had no issues since then ( Using Firefox + ABP +Strict Pop Up Blocker ).

I noticed a lot of the spam but only in the Gen. Aut. Discussion group. I would like to think that the owners/managers of the site care enough about it put in some safeguards in place to keep it from continuing. Like with everything else in the digital world, there will be some people that diminish it for the rest of us. As for leaving, I have thought about it, but I think the variety of thought and experience that is represented here is too vast to pick up and go.

Personally, I am quite convinced that would accomplish absolutely nothing (even if there actually was a real need) since Alex seems to do quite well in the face of bullying.


I am not convinced it is broken, but there is no "somewhere else" to go. There is only one WrongPlanet.

I only stick around because I get paid by the Russian government to post here.

Which browser and device are you using?

I've been using Chrome on my phone and laptop and I keep getting logged out.

Using Firefox on PC.

I'm a new user. I'm using Chrome and haven't experienced any of the described problems yet (apart from noticing the spam threads).

The site is a pain. And I don't have attachments. But it's good for distraction, something interesting to do, and to ask questions and read experiences of other autistics which may solve my own problems or provide inspiration and ideas.

The only real problem lately has been all of this spam. Otherwise, the site is okay.

I'm in the closet professionally. Virtually all of my friends who knew me in HS are living in another part of the country or another (not neighboring) state. It's nice to have a safe place where I can be fully honest about the challenges I face in a NT world. It's nice to know I'm not alone with the challenges I face in a NT world. It's nice to be able to support and offer advice to others who are currently where I've been. It's a place where I can get a read on the current state of "my people," and figure out what I can personally do to promote a more autism friendly world, not just for me but for those on different parts of the spectrum. The games and such offer an entertainment aspect as well.

As buggy as it is, and as many spammers as it attracts, it's still better than nothing.
