Body language and facial expressions continue to elude me for several different reasons. First off just simply looking at somebody is very difficult for me to do so I'm not sure if I would want to interpret their facial expressions because that would involve me looking at them, especially the eyes. I just can't handle it. If I have identified somebody as a "safe person" then I can look at their face and their eyes for short periods of time only. But for complete strangers this is out of the question.
Body language is such a nondescript, nonspecific and soft way to communicate which I simply don't pay any attention to. Verbal communication is the only type of communication that I trust and or rely on. If it isn't said then it isn't real for me. I appear to be quite stuck on this way of thinking and it's been that way for some time.
