Tiptoeing feels more comfortable - it makes me feel taller and lighter, almost as if I'm floating :) I've done it since I was a kid and mostly tiptoe at home and sometimes in college and supermarkets.

Sorry to resurrect this post, but I had something to share with my fellow toe-walkers. I've walked on my toes since I could walk at all I'm pretty sure, which resulted in my Achilles tendon being a bit shorter than it should be. Combined with the fact that I have really high arches and I think I'm starting to develop a little plantar fasciitis. I feel that a lifelong habit of toe walking could probably lead to an increased risk of plantar fasciitis, so I'd like to recommend that if you toe walk you should look up the condition and take steps to prevent it in yourselves. It's mostly just a series of stretches and trying to wear shoes that give you good arch support. I just thought this might be useful information for some of you, it was certainly news to me!
