What I can do:

Ummm....

• Draw

• Play Video Games

• Maintain loyalty towards my friends

• Make it to a higher level of education? (college)

I don't know what else...

What I can't do:

• Have complete control of my emotions

• Feel comfortable talking on the phone

• Feel comfortable chatting face to face (through things like Skype or in person)

• Not sweat when I'm in a social enviornment

• Not have terrible memories populate my mind when something triggers them.

• Not think about suicide

• Keep my appetite balanced when I've fallen into a state of depression. Sometimes I end up losing my appetite to eat and other times I eat more than normal.

• Keep my sleeping balanced when I've fallen into a state of depression.

• Draw when I'm upset

• Not completely stop myself from wanting to hurt myself

• Socialize with people in a one on one conversation - Takes an immense amount of effort (excluding friends.) Hence why I tell people I can't do PMs.

• Feel sympathetic towards humanity

• Have trust in people.

I am like you in everything except for video games and trust in people. I trust everyone too much and it’s something I can’t change.
I tried but My brain won’t stop.

I just run things by my therapist and sister and lawyer now and base my trusting other ppl on their opinions.

I am a bit confused, if you cannot find stuff in the first place, then how can you use it to its fullest capacity? :scratch:

You need a care taker like a mother or a partner if you're like me. Alone I would be lost.

I can't:
* Cook
* Look after myself independently
* Interpret people's emotions
* Handle fire
* Always think before I speak
* Cope in stressful situations without panicking

I can:
* Work towards combating issues I have
* Strive to become more independent
* Work towards making my list of "can't"s "cans" in the future
* Live my life without letting my autism stop me

Can:
talk eloquently (at least in my native tongue, at least fluently in English)
learn foreign languages
programming, computer science and IT stuff
text interpretation/literature
mathematics
singing
learn instruments (even if not very fast)
cook
be funny
be creative and inventive
memorize things very quickly when I have to for school, work etc.
spelling (again, at least in my native tongue)
hyperfocus
recognize patterns
understand jokes, even subtle ones

Cannot:
(anything that involves visual thinking)
draw
drive a car
navigate without a map (no internal mind map) -> could be developmental disorientation disorder
perform mental rotation tasks
judge distances and lengths
very bad at intuitive physics
handcraft
play computer games that involve visual thinking, navigation, fast reaction, skill or motor skills (which means I cannot play most of them)
let go off things (often stuck)
fall asleep quickly
understand what people want from me
cleaning and being tidy
organize
follow routines
very bad motor skills

IMHO, with the exception of driving a car, which if you live in a city it not critical, none of your cannots is anything I would worry about if I was you. :wtg:

I live in a big city with lots of public transport (subway, tram, busses, trains) around me and I can also ride a bike (even though I'm often scared). I know none of this is really important and yet these things bother me every day :oops: :oops: :oops:

but part of sanity/self-love, is learning to be appreciative of what you do have- i'd dearly love to have some of the "can do" gifts you described about yourself, such as easily learn musical instruments, memorize things very quickly, quickly learn foreign languages etc. I guess it is one of those "the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence" type of deals.
