Do you ever surprise people with your memory? I met up with a couple of friends the other day and I asked one of them how he liked the cruise he went on. He seemed surprised I remembered that. I went out with this girl and asked her how her night out with her cousins was. She seemed surprised I remembered that

You need to give more detail. Like sure you met up with people who went on a cruse. When did they go on this cruse? Was it 10 years ago or was it yesterday. I have a fantastic memory, and I love it.

The cruise was at least a month ago and I think the girl's night out with her cousins was just so uneventful that it was awkward to bring it up.

I relate. Even though my short-term memory can only hold a few things before it overflows and I lose track, my long-term memory is sort of amazing. I can play back things from when I was a little kid like they're little movie scenes. When I've been married, I enjoy remembering little things that were said about what someone likes and then surprising them much later with little gifts that show I remembered and cared. Usually my exes would be pleasantly surprised that I remembered what they had said.
