I didn't vote on the poll because it depends on where I am and what I have been up to. My room at school is pretty tidy; mainly because the organization up somewhat calms me down when my roommate is in the room. My room at home on the other hand ricochets from and clean to disaster zone work/construction (I like k'nex sets) area every couple of weeks. I am more comfortable at home so the need for complete and total order at all times is less pronounced when I'm there. Overall: Very clean, but frequently messy.

Hmm...good question.

For me it depends. I clean once a week, typically on Saturdays, where I tidy things up, sweep/vacuum, and put stuff away that accumulated over the course of the week. I do have my clutter catches and piles, but even then, there is some semblance of order to it--organized chaos is a good way of putting it. The one thing I absolutely cannot tolerate is clutter on the kitchen counter or around my workspaces; those areas need to stay as free of stuff as possible, otherwise I tend to freak out or find it nearly impossible to get any work done.

When I'm clean, I'm reallyyy clean.

When I let it get messy, it's really messy. Not hoarder-like, but pilling up trash and laundry. It's gross.

In general, I think if I have a nice place to live it, it's only right that I keep it clean and nice.

With roommates, I was very tidy. Not scrub the floor down every day tidy (maybe every month). But, if there was a pile of the same dishes out for days on end, clean or not, I would put them up.

It varies. When I'm focusing on special interests my living space can become disastrously untidy. But when I decide to clean, I apply the same amount of focus.

You've just described my current approach to cleanliness and tidiness.

Definitely got that "lived in" look here. Suitable for company to a degree, though some folks are picky and some have dust allergies etc. I don't know how to keep a house really clean and tidy, not with the amount of stuff I've collected. I've got some hope that using suitable containers might be very helpful, but I'm not sure how to proceed. Probably by global standards I'm on the messy side, though there's a lot of order in the way things are arranged, it just doesn't look good and it collects dirt and dust, and the ordering is rarely complete.

I'm between the second and the third.

There was a time when I was really messy (never dirty). Though I've gotten better over the years.

I dislike clutter immensely.
