I'm like just 5 feet tall and the most I've weighed is like 100 pounds, typically its more like 95 so yeah I am probably not the strongest...but I think its a lot more to do with my size than my health. But like typically I don't even weigh 100 pounds so job ads that say 'have to lift at least 50 pounds' are quite discouraging because 50 pounds is already a bit above half my average weight.

Hi,

I wanted to know, is there a link between AS/ASD and being physically weak? I have been the absolute physically weakest person I have ever come across in life. I am PATHETICALLY weak. It's one of the reasons I could never defend myself against my bullies.

I've read that this is a common occurence in people with AS/ASD somewhere. Both my brother and my father are like this as well though so I suspect it's genetic.

Thanks for all replies.

If you are weaker than average you should see a neuromuscular specialist to determine the cause.

I am fairly strong for a 5' 1" woman and very healthy. I wouldn't consider myself physically weak.

Ironically I'm physically fit and strong, but I'm also disabled by a really bad coordination disorder.

I'm physically stronger than everyone in my family. Of course weighing in at 270 also helps.

Not always, although they usually have weaker motor skills which makes it difficult to demonstrate their strength.
