oh god yes! I love wasabi for that same reason. I get a whole body rush from it. It's great. Kinda like everything in my body lights up at once! and then I feel very relaxed afterwards.

That or snorting lemon juice.

((A character did that in a Stephen King book; I did not come up with the idea on my own))

That's exactly what I'd look like if I ate a habanero. I took a bite of habanero once. "Once" being the operative word in that sentence. 8O

Okay VV. But only a years supply? I'd simply eat them as snacks. :D

We used to grow jalapenos in our backyard and my dad knew someone who would eat them casually, as if it was a banana or something. I think this guy's tastebuds were completely dead.

About Asian food. Wasabi is very good for clearing up a stuffed nose. And tea is good for a temporary relief from very spicy foods. ;)

Just to update you all, I ate 2 Habaneros by themselves. I have survived and actually had a pretty nice buzz for a couple of hours, from the endorphins released after those first few blistering minutes. I do not recomend that anyone else try this unless you have first built up your tolerance with jalapenos, cayanne and the like. I have been eating such peppers untempered for some months now.

All in all a good experiance that I may try to repeat in a few days, after my guts have cooled out a bit.

Anyone else here into peppers?

It takes me half a day to finish off a tiny bag of jalapeno chips. *wimp* I don't like spicy food.
